This shouldn't be any news for us, we should be beating them anyway.

Think its a bit premature to say he's got it sussed, stoke LLLLDLDD is becoming commmon place That's a pretty woeful run of results in any bodies book to be fair. He's not out of the woods yet and anything other than a win against Sunderland and the pressure will be cranked up another notch.

I am really pleased with the fight we have shown this last couple of games and I think we can go on and get a decent run going in this next 7.
However, if we don't beat Sunderland I don't know how anyone can say hughes won't be under immense pressure and isn't currently under massive pressure. He's won about 1 of his last 15 or so premier league matches for fucks sake.
Lets have a bit of realism on here.

Think its a bit premature to say he's got it sussed, stoke LLLLDLDD is becoming commmon placereally? can you find lots of other 8 game periods where we had exactly that record or do you just not know what common place means? We should buy George Thorne ....he'd sort it out mate

Spot on with this that's how I see it, its not just this seasons results, its also the finish to last season.Anything less than a win will leave us in deep shit and a long haul to get out of it.No use saying we're too good to go down.

Be honest, if we win the next 3 games most of you lot will be campaigning for Hughes to get the freedom of the city! Support the team AND the manager. Who else is out there? Agree wholeheartedly mate. We really do have some plums following our club.

Have a word with yourself
Get behind the lads and Mark Hughes and just support your fucking club instead of getting worked up about some half arsed fantasy that he "has" to go if we don't win a match.
I think after Man Utd we've turned a corner. If we win 5 out of the next 6 Hughes will be back up there with out best manages and you'll be singing Mark Hughes Barmy army.

What a massive game this is.Only a win will be enough imo anything less and I think Mr Coates will have no option but to show LMH the door. I can't see Hughes being sacked regardless of the Sunderland result (although it will either add or decrease the pressure that he is under). Basically he has the next seven games to turn things around. I'm actually quite confident, the last couple of performances have helped to stop the rot!

The upward trajectory of our form and confidence points to this as our likely first win of the campaign. We may need to loosen the constraints in the middle of the park to increase our creativity, as they will no doubt look to defend deep and frustrate us. With a renewed belief in our back four and keeper, we must be positive enough to push forward and take a few chances if we are to break their resolve.

Some of the calls for MH to be fired were premature even after the Palace game. With players coming back into the side, new players to be integrated and a bit of experimentation with the formation and line up going on, it wasn't going to be perfect straightaway.
We got caught late on against Manchester City after competing with them well. Boro was a decent result, Everton away we were a bit unlucky. Spurs was a poor performance, but for half an hour we were good again. The game was up at Palace after a quarter of an hour as we tried and failed with zonal marking at set plays.
I'm not sure we were quite as bad as the results suggest. The Palace scoreline was the surprise that got everybody panicking.
Now the dust has settled we are starting to look a decent side. There is still plenty of room for improvement and I think we will see more options tried out in midfield.
After the last 3 performances though, to suggest that MH should leave if we don't beat Sunderland is hysterical, ridiculous and wrong in my opinion.
You've missed the point though, it isn't just this season why people are talking about maybe having him replaced, it isn't something thats suddenly happened. I don't think I am missing the point. The point is that we were on the brink of a Cup Final and European places last season after a poor start, and it is obvious that injuries to key players, Butland, Johnson and Shawcross in particular, to say nothing of Afellay (who was looking like player of the season) completely derailed us.
That has continued to some degree into this season. Butland and Afellay still out, Johnson, Shawcross and Shaqiri just returning and probably still not match fit and in the groove, new players like Allen, Bony and Indi (plus to a degree Imbula) to settle. That's probably 7 or 8 first team starters. It's no wonder we've struggled - wouldn't any team?

6 pointer already. Fair to say it's a huge game for both sides. Personally, if we lose I think Hughes will stay(He should anyway) but if we beat them then I'm 100% sure Moyes will get the boot. So hopefully, we win by at least 3-0. If we lose then I'm sorry, but I'm putting money on us going down.

I predict a (doesnt help either team) 0-0 draw.
Too much expectation from both sides that this is a winnable game and they never turn out that way. A nil-niller we leave us both in the mire and waiting for our seasons to start.
Definitely not confident
