Lived in Aus for 36 years and one of my few trips home to see the family coincided with this game. A very good friend up Knutton club got me a ticket and it was one of the best nights ever watching the Potters. I think I ve still got it on video somewhere with 2 local lads doing the commentary. A night to remember. The commentary was a pisser wasn't it... the best line was "Do you think the Vale have missed Bradley Sandeman tonight?"

Sandford, Cranson, Overson, Butler
My fave SCFC back four - slot Ryan in for Overson and I think that would do a job in top flight (so it would with Vince as well, methinks)

I am sure Butler, Sandford, Overson and Cranson never got injured and played every week.
I wasn't allowed to stay up late on those nights. My Dad would tape it and I would be up at 6 in the morning to watch it before school.

Lee Sandfords tackle on Andrei Kanchelskis was a joy to behold.

I had to have the next day off due to being sore after the best two mentals I've ever take part in. Put the fail shite firmly in their place and who remembers cheering the Bolton Goal at Burnden Park when we lost 1.0. The great unwashed still moan about that night and that result to this day saying we lost on purpose. Ah diddums did we
