He has a lot of potential , the only worry I saw was he seemed to have picked up our shooting phobia from his team mates , once he gets over that and providing he can play enough games , he has a very bright future ahead of him I'd rather that then a Townsend where he wastes every good chance, I think it's a sign of a good head on his shoulders and a willingness and desire to link up with and compliment his team-mates. I enjoyed watching him last night but there were a couple of times he should have shot and overplayed like we tend to do and much better to not be afraid to shoot

Agree with others that he could have had a few more cracks at goal but I was impressed with his confidence and a few times he made good runs for the ball or didn't get a decisive pass from a teammate inside the area and made a point of telling them afterwards. I thought it showed that he had some guts and that he and been accepted and welcomed by the team that he was comfortable doing that.
I reckon against most fullbacks one on one he'll give them trouble. Would have liked to have seen him on from half time.

This is a really silly post. You need a lot of information to make that judgement which you surely do not possess. For the purpose of the thread it wasn't that silly.

I was hoping it was a joke. Just my opinion, I bow to your superior knowledge though. Based on him playing 30 minutes of competitive football for us. Jesus wept.

I'm sure the lad will come good given enough game time. He appears to be a very promising investment for the club and I look forward to watching his progress unfold over the coming season and beyond.

Stoke Sentinel :
Ramadan for the future
THIS was a mini-highlights reel in 30 minutes, with a bit of skill, some direct running and a lot of determination to get on the ball and make things happen.
Stoke fans expect from experience to be patient – even big signings from the big leagues like Bojan and Xherdan Shaqiri take time to find their feet.
But he is certainly not short of confidence and it will be exciting to watch his progress.

He's most likely getting eased into matches gradually as the start of the Premier League season coincides with the summer break for the Egyptian league. I have no doubt, that with normal progress - he'll become a devastating attacker. I'm of Egyptian and Turkish background and he's by far the best talent we've got. I don't support Stoke but I envy the massive talent most Stoke supporters don't even realize they have yet. No disrespect to Arnautovic, but Sobhi has a much higher ceiling. No disrespect mate but being an Egyptian talent doesn't make him a better player than Arni! Come back when he has become the clubs player of the season and been the top scorer for a top 10 Premier league team and I might agree with you! We all hope he becomes a top player but he has a lot to do before he achieves that "ceiling".

I never said he was better now, simply that he has a higher ceiling - which he does. With regular progression, barring potental injuries, he should reach and surpass Arnautovic's current level long before he's 27. This would be Stoke's gain in any case.

Give the lad time, he'll get better when he's confident of his team mates and how he needs to play

He 'should' do it but football's never that straightforward, the list of players not reaching their full potential, but let's hope he does.

Tbh I don't think there's much pressure on Ramadan. Sure he's young, but he's surrounded by top quality players and he knows that, which might relieve pressure and make him perform better. I don't think he expects we're thinking he will light up the premier league.... this season

I went to the match on Tuesday night and was very impressed with how quickly he settled in to the team, his confidence and close control. I would like to see him develop the use of his left foot, otherwise he might get Sussex out, always cut in from the left , using his right foot, and got crowded out a few times, never saw him go on the outside but very promising signs
