Forward passes, every recover run a sprint. He’s told a few fibs already. Think this one is a case of being offered to us One to avoid imo

People on here generally didn’t like the idea of us signing Ashley Barnes when we were linked with him last summer but he’s been useful for Norwich.
I wouldn’t mind Rodriguez. He’s been a favourite with fans everywhere he’s been which says a lot.
As free signings go we could do worse.

Used to live round the corner from me, he’s a lovely bloke. Avoid like the plague though….. He speaks glowingly of you too

Isn’t Jay Rodriguez represented by the agent who lives in trentham? Might be a factor

Who are his agents? (Rhetorical question) I heard this in Jan. Decent player but injury prone. We’d be lucky to get 20 games out of him. His agents are the ones connected to the club. Can’t remember their name. Gary Mellor.

There's nothing wrong with this sort of signing as long as there's another younger striker coming in as well. With whom Jay would help and coach on the pitch.

Here's my penny's worth on the subject. Jay is a good lad,not a prima donna like some we have on the books at the moment. He would be good in the dressing room and at helping other players with their game. We may not get every game out of him but he is hungry to play, always has been. Would be decent playing with another. He has experience to pass on to younger players. He can be a leader on the pitch something of which we are missing right now. In short he'd do well for us for a season or two. Plus wouldn't SJW know all about him from his short time at Burnley.

Think this one is a case of being offered to us One to avoid imo I agree do think we need a senior pro somewhere in the team but not as the central striker if playing a pair and we had a young hot striker to pair up with then it could make sense but we don't and unlikely to play 2 up top

Paul Mullin, Wrexham would be a great addition to the squad, Another 25 goals this season to add to his 50 odd last season. Ok, last season was non league, but he certainly knows we’re the goal is. Whether or not he would leave Wrexham to come and play with our magnificent strike force, is another matter.

Good lord, we never learn do we? No, no we don't It'd acryally laughable. Ageing pros are early 30s we go for for mid 30s players who relied on industry and sharpness and who are clearly finished....

The best striker we’ve had since relegation was a broken down Fletcher (when approaching fit). If we brought in Rodriguez as an option for the last 10-15 mins, I wouldn’t be upset. If we had to pay a fortune to do it though, I’d be fairly pissed off.

Like Barry Bannan yesterday who pulled all of the strings for SW and made our midfield look like fools.

Jay Rodriguez was a really good striker and tbh I can see why we’d want him for cheap. But I can also see why a lot of people don’t want him. Tbh I’m not sure how we can trust any of them to get anything right. On paper I think he should be able to do a decent job at this level. But with it being us, when I first read this it was like ffs not again.

Can prob play until he is 40 in that role. He has also been at Wednesday for years. Rodriguez is on 40k a week no longer wanted by Burnley looking for a final contract. Also off the back of major injuries Yeah it's the same obviously....
