Look how much money he cost you can't ask a mini to race in formula one For a £3m CB who got the better deal us or LCFC ? Us 100% We had a player on our books who wasn't playing, now we have a regular in the centre of our defense.

He was very good for the vast majority of last season too, but was the scapegoat when our entire team started playing poorly.
Ryan was a much bigger concern yesterday.

I'm generally one of Wolly's biggest critics. But I didn't think he played that badly yesterday. He also made the best cross of the day right on Shawcross's head. Maybe we should stick him on the wing or have him take corners.

He's in my Fantasy team as for some reasons I've always liked him. I wanted to choose Shawcross but not sure how he is with injuries/fitness at the moment? Hope you guys have a good season by the way How'd you feel about the Hull result and the upcoming season? What're you expecting from LCFC this season mate? Well the Hull result was very disappointing for us, we were expecting a positive result from the game but I think it was just one of those 'off days' across the whole team. I'm not overly concerned by the result as Ranieri has said himself we aren't fully fit yet, and to be fair Hull were the better team yesterday and deserved their win. We now must move on and try to get back to what we're good at. Can't help but think we need two more signings though - RB and ST. In terms of what I'm expecting for this season - I'd be very happy with top ten, and top six would be even better.

On paper, you look to have strengthened; your chairman seems quite liberal with the transfer kitty but Im guessing that's with the extra revenue from the CL

You are right, we have strengthened this summer but for me there's still areas which need strengthening. Just two more additions for me, and I'd be content.

He frustrates me. When he has a good game he looks composed and classy. But when he has a bad game he's absolutely terrible and a complete liability. He's definitely better when alongside a fit Shawcross as evidenced by that good defensive spell we had in November and December last year. He's lost without him though in my opinion. Overall he's ok but we can do better and in my opinion we should be looking to do better. I think is spot on. I said to my mate yesterday, he's either great or a massive liability. He's a rolls Royce some games and a skoda the next. We defiantly need competition for him and Ryan.

He's our best centre back at the moment. Which goes to show how far away shawcross is from being at his best.

How many times have they played together? We need consistent selection at CH to build up a solid reliable partnership. The looked like an impeccable partnership last season before Ryan's injury.

Player of the season in waiting. Did you notice the other heated thread has disappeared, Sheik??
Id just commented on your admirable use of restraint to address the young man when BOOM! It was gone, just like Keyser Soze...

Wollscheid deserves a contract extension to 2020. His delivery is much better than Shawcross. If Ryan can improve we have a good pair in the central of defence. But if we don´t sign a centraldefender i´ll be very concerned. Wollscheid cost £2,75M what a bargain that was.

Most level-headed people are really only bothered about his footballing capability, and I'm one of them. He can wear a bobble-hat and leg-warmers for me, I couldn't give a shit. If you're berating him because he isn't quite how you 'like your men' well, it probably says more about you than him.

Wollscheid could put in a performance on par with Bobby Moore v Brazil ,Mexico 1970 and it wouldn't matter one jot to some who have already made their minds up,largely due to who he isn't rather than who he is.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind there are folk who actually WANT him to perform badly.
