Wow, thank you all for the great responses. Oatcake is definitely on the bucket list - is it the healthy whole grain snack the name implies..?
Sorry to mention Huth, didn't realise it was such a contentious issue! Just don't ask us about Ziege to Liverpool or Forlan to Man Utd...
We're all glad Ayala signed a new contract today, I didn't realise he had been noticed outside the Championship, he has a head like a magnet.
I think Clayton will surprise this year - I dare I say he would displace Whelan in your team.. but then I am bias of course.
We'll do well to get a result next week, Butland, Shawcross, Imbula, Shaqiri and Arnautović are real players and you're a proper team and a great club.
I'll keep checking back for more and put the link up here when it's online on Monday.
Thanks again, you're all welcome on our forum anytime.

Congrats on promotion Badger! 1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction? => 0-5 heart / 1-2 head 2. Will Boro stay up this season? => I hope so, been quite the slog getting here 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? => Will let you know after the match! 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? => Gutted Huth has gone to Leicester to be honest... guess I'll hang his shirt beside Fuller's now But I hope he takes the free kicks for them from now on against us! 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) No but they look tasty! 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? Met some Boro fans who were travelling in Canada years back and I'm very pleased for them, great bunch. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction 0-0
2. Will Boro stay up this season?
Yeah. Hopefully Castle will stay down and Sunderland join them to. 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? I'd have Negredo and any one of your 3 keepers as back up to Jack in a flash!
4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester?
Don't mention him!!! 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) Yes. Used to work with a guy from up there and he banged on about them all the time. I never listened. He made me one one day at work and it was....alright. Would have been nicer if I was pissed!!
6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? Nothing against them.

I think we underestimate our own side up to a point. If Stoke play to this abilities we should win this game.
Of course if we are at half pace then we will be in trouble.
Not as convinced as everyone else that Boro are certainties to stay up,Burnley look better prepared to me.

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction Depends on how Boro approach the game. If they attack Stoke they will be caught on the break and lose 1-2. If they hold back and frustrate Stoke they could catch Stoke on the break and win 1-0. Stoke will play possession football and just keep passing it about. 2. Will Boro stay up this season? Yes, only because I think there are at least 3 worse including Hull, Bournemouth, and Swansea; plus Sunderland keep dicing with relegation and one day it could happen, like Wigan. 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? I've not seen any of of Boro players for a full match. I'm told there is a lot of good talent. Stoke now have a fantastic squad, with suspect defenders, and are occasionally brilliant, but too often fail to do themselves justice. Three times 9th place tells its own story; often gets good results but often slips up. 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? Very sore point. But he had been out of the team and is not a ball player that Mark Hughes wants. He's a hell of a good stopper though and his move to Leicester was brilliant for them and saved them from relegation 2 seasons ago. 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) I must have lead a very sheltered life. I lived in Middlesbrough (Marton) for 20 years and have never heard of them! 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? Great old club, local business owner like Stoke, fans tend to be negative like a lot of Stokies (I know one who would prefer to support a wining team in the Championship than a losing team in the Prem.) I recently read "Golden Boy" Wilf Mannion's biography, one of the greatest players ever, my wife and I met him at the Marton CC one St Patrick's night. Clough was a brilliant manager (with and without Taylor) but over rated as a player, including by himself, the big head; he scored virtually all his goals against Second Division defences, where the only quality defender he played against was Tony Allen. I'd like Stoke to improve their ground to Boro's standard in terms of capacity/filling corners. Pleased that the club supported the steel industry (SOS campaign), albeit in vain; pity the ground was shamelessly built with foreign steel, like one of the multi story car parks in Middlesbrough. It just wouldn't happen in other countries, who support their own industry and workers. You reap what you sow, steel works shut.

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction - 0-2 (Arnie & Shaq)
2. Will Boro stay up this season? - you'll deffo stay up, hull wont win a game, burnley will go quietly and I think its between Swansea or sunderland
3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? - really like Fischer and Ayala
4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? - Yes and yes, but how he doesn't give away 3 pens a game from holding on corners I don't know.
5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) - never heard of them, but whatever it is wont stand up to the oatcake.
6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? - I really liked and rooted for boro in the prem back in the southgate, Ehiogu and juninho days and that run in the uefa cup was great. the best north east club by miles, cant stand the deluded Geordies or mackems.

Dear Stoke City fans, Thank you for allowing this smog monster to pollute your forum with a message from the Boro. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Riverside next Saturday - our first Premier League match for 7 seasons. I’m opening the match day thread for the Boro fans forum ‘OneBoro’ (www.oneboro.co.uk) and was hoping to include some of your thoughts on the match, and on our club in general. I’ve posted a few questions below and we would be much obliged for any answers. Wishing The Potters the very best for the season ahead. Thanks a lot, Boro Badger 1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction 2. Will Boro stay up this season? 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? 1. Score prediction 1-1 you don't concede many and we don't score many- Shaqiri for us and Negredo or Gibson for you. 2. Yes fairly comfortable for you I think 4 places above the relegation zone.. the only issue is if Karanka has a breakdown again?! 3. Gibson at centre back we need another commanding centre back and Gibson fits that mould, otherwise Fischer or Negredo potentially could. 4. You had no choice as you say in selling him, in many ways it was the logical decision for us he wasn't guaranteed starting spot after his injury and didn't fit the way we play it was just unfortunate he played so well after going to Leicester.. in hindsight yes but long term right decision I'll say. (Time will tell) 5. Never heard of it but I'd try it on doubt. 6. Working class area similar to Stoke and built on a good defence just like when we were promoted. Good fans also and used to love Juniniho back in the day.

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction
1-2 2. Will Boro stay up this season?
I think so yes, if only by the fact three other teams will perform worse than you ! 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI?
Can't say I've seen much of them to be fair. It'll be interesting to see how they shape up at Prem level. 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester?
In hindsight yes, we struggled when Shawcross was injured. Huth would have held things together at the back for us but until Ryan's injury we coped adequately. 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’)
No, never heard of it. Can't possibly beat a sausage and cheese oatcake whatever it is. 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC?
Not been to the Riverside but did visit Ayresome Park for a night match some years ago. Had tickets for the main stand and unveiled a Stoke flag for the evening. Plenty of threats but nobody actually approached us. Think the score was 1-1, drank pints of a very dark bitter (Cameron's ? ) in a back street boozer before the game and probably ended up drunk.
Middlesbrough... One of those clubs you neither hate or love, they're just there. Good luck for your season, unless you're playing us of course !

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction1-1 2. Will Boro stay up this season?Yes, but it all depends if Karanka doesnt have a complete meltdown, You made good signings pre season and the squad is good enough to easily be in the top 14 teams in the league, its just keeping it going when it gets tough. 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI?Ayala has always impressed me, wins every header, Negrado could be useful if he discovers form although he was beyond awful at Valencia 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester?Yes and Yes 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’)Yes! they are great!!! My mrs is from Boro so everytime i go up to see her family i will have one. Was actually suppose to be up today but im not very well 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC?I respect them a lot, Boro is like stoke in a lot of ways, working class down to earth people, Some areas rundown and some areas nice. Got to respect a local owner putting his money in the team just like ours, was great watching them back in the Juninho, ravenelli days, also was good to see that Europa cup run. Im amazed it has taken so long to be back.

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction: 2-2 draw. 2. Will Boro stay up this season? I think so, as long as team spirit shines through, and you stay hard to beat at home and don't try and play like Brazil and out-football teams that have much better players than you. This is the season to get past, then it should get easier. 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? Ayala / Negredo. 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? Not much you could have done about it, but the Berlin Wall was one of my favourites at Stoke and we lost solidity and presence at the back when we sold him. We've not properly replaced him yet either. 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) No. 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? Prefer Boro to either Newcastle or Sunderland. Revised prediction after watching our latest farce against Hamburg: Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction: 2-0 Boro win (if we score, will be a modern miracle, as it will be if we fail to concede).

If you can make Riverside a fortress you'll be fine. 3: I'd have Daniel Ayala and probably Negrado 4: I don't think you had much of a choice in selling him tbh. I'm not one of the ones overly fussed about us selling him, if they didn't win the league(which was a freak event) nobody would even mention it. 5: I haven't, just googled it - looks right up my street, do you sell em at the Riverside?! Would love one ;D 6: Not got anything against Boro. I used to really enjoy watching you when you were in the Premier League - always took a liking to Geremi when you guys had him. Good team, locally owned, all the best to you.

1) 1-2 2) Touch and go, probably just by the skin of your teeth 3) Very unlikely 4) Yes 5) No 6) Steve Gibson should have been given the freedom of the place for the good times he bought for you. Last time I went to your place I found your support to be very arrogant and dismissive of us. I´m told that many of you have seen Jonathon Woodgate play well. This makes me suspicious/jealous.

It just wouldn't happen in other countries, who support their own industry and workers. You reap what you sow, steel works shut. With regards the stadium, we have just spent 5 million this summer doing it up. If we stay up this season more plans are in place. This summer new floodlights, 2 x new tv studios in the away end, one for sky. Also a external staircase and lift to access them. Camera gantry moved to the east stand so tv cameras now facing main stand. 32 camera points around the stadium. New benches and seats. New wiring throughout the stadium and mainly changes inside the main stand. Away fans are now in the south east corner and the main home end is now to the left of them. Atmosphere has improved 20 fold and think you will be quite impressed. Think you have sold all your allocation so full stadium, can't wait.

Will Boro stay up this season? 12-14th - You seem a very solid outfit, and you've made some very astute signings. 3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? Honestly, no idea. We need an experienced CB thats for sure. You got one? 4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? Not sure you guys had much choice, he was to good for the Championship, we were in a strange situation in which he'd been injured for some time and I don't think Hughes could really give him the game time to get back to full fitness. Leicester did and they reaped the rewards. 5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) Nope! 6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? As above, I think you'll be equipped to stay up, I fancy you to finish 12-14th, the top 10 could be a stretch to far as it stands - Top 6 occupies itself I think, then you're competing with West Ham, Everton, Leicester, Southampton, Stoke, C Palace etc for the remaining 4 spots that make up the top half. I think 10th would probably represent a good finish for us this time round.

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction 1-12. Will Boro stay up this season? Yes, I feel they will be comfortable and finish mid table3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? The likes of Rhodes, Negredo and maybe even Adomah could have played a part in our first XI. If Gaston Ramirez can show the promise that he undoubtedly has then Id say him too.4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? Yes IMO going by the injury crisis we suffered in our defence last season. Huth still had a few years left at Stoke and we sold him too early5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) Nope!6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? Decent club with seemingly decent fans, not living in the grand delusions of their neighbours currently kickstarting their season in The Championship, wish Boro well except for the first match of course! I dont generally respond to these things I'll just say this Butland - Shawcross - Allen - Bojan - Shaquiri - Imbulla - Arnautovic - Diouf - et al oh lordy ! - have you got a rude awakening coming fella (wink) I think we might be getting a bit cocky although I appreciate this is banter. Don't forget we overturned Villa with all their stars when we came up. If all our players turn up I fancy us but this is a difficult match and it will be stadium and home team bang up for this match.

Few facts on the game....
Middlesbrough have won just two of their 14 previous season openers in the Premier League, including in their last campaign in the top-flight vs Tottenham (2-1) in 2008/09. Indeed, they’ve never won on the opening weekend of a Premier League season as a newly-promoted team (D2 L1). Since the aforementioned match against Spurs, Middlesbrough have won just one of their last seven opening weekend league games (D3 L3). Stoke’s only previous win on the opening day of a Premier League season came against Burnley in 2009. Stoke are winless in their last six Premier League opening weekend matches, losing four (D2)

But the difference could be the stadium rocking and the players will play above themselves due to the occasion. We'll see how it pans out soon enough.... Then there's the small matter of citeh!!

1. Middlesbrough v Stoke score prediction 2-1 Stoke
2. Will Boro stay up this season? I'd say around 14th-17th in your first season back so yes, just.
3. Would any Boro players have a chance of being in your first XI? Rhodes, maybe. We'll know more in a few months time. Probably Negredo.
4. We were mad to sell you Huth, were you mad to sell Huth to Leicester? Yes, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
5. Have you ever had a parmo? (a Middlesbrough ‘delicacy’) A what?
6. Any general thoughts on Middlesbrough FC? I was always a bit jealous of your venture into European football but not so much at your empty ground towards the end of your time in the Premier League. You've got a great chance of becoming a stable part of the top division again though.
I won't wish you good luck, as to be honest I hope 19 of the Premier League teams have the worst luck ever, but I can at least say that there are at least 3 teams I'd like to see finish below you!
