What players Do you think should have had more playing time or didn't get a fair rub of the green?
I'll kick it off with an obvious one in Tuncay

Alan Durban was a big fan from memory, can't recall if he was injury prone but 4 years,40 games and 7 goals didn't seem a lot.Always rated him but when your young you see things in a different way.

This thread coincides with the Underated thread and I had thought of suggesting a similar theme.
Totally agree with the opening thread. Tunchay in my opinion could have become a Stoke superstar, but unfortunately his face did not fit in with the management at the time.
At the peak of his career he could easily fit into to days team but was never given the chance to show us what he was potentially capable of.

Michael Owen claims he was fit. If so he is the most criminally under used player ever

Michael Owen claims he was fit. If so he is the most criminally under used player ever The time he played/attended against us for Newcastle he strolled around the pitch with little or no effort and was frankly an embarrassment. I will always respect his playing career for Liverpool and particularly for ENGLAND but will never understand what he was doing at Stoke.

For me Joselu's got to be up there with Tuncay and co. - I hope he'll get a lot more playing time this upcoming season.

Diouf last season. Aside from personal tragedy I think he was ready to return far sooner than we were lead to believe. He's our best goal threat. If he doesn't start more games this season we've either signed a potent goal scorer or he's being under used again.

I saw ursem play a few times i'm sure. Can't really remember much about him but as a kid always fascinated by his odd name. Hardly awash with dutch players at the time were we. Good shout.

Ashley Grimes? Always thought he was worth more than a home sub workout.

^This^ Martins son was streets ahead of anyone else we had yet he hardly ever played, I still don't get what was going on there. I always thought we had to restrict his appearances to prevent some contract clause or other being activated. He was clearly far better than most of the players we had on the pitch at the time. Very odd situation.

I always felt that Paul Barnes would have been a prolific goalscorer for us. Unfortunately he had Biggins and Stein in front of him (not that we should complain!)
He went to York and became a 20+ goal a season forward for the next several years.
