Do we have any young supporters who attend matches on a regular basis?
I've been doing some work in a number of Stoke schools and Ive not come across anyone of school age yet who goes to Stoke matches.
Anyone on here under the age of 21 who regularly attends?
Priced out or interested in other activities?

Priced out or interested in other activities? I'm going to ignore the risk of being revealed as 'one of these know nothing youngsters' as many of the older generations would probably say 😂 I'm 19 and have bought a season ticket for pretty much as long as it has been viable for me to do so. However, there obviously comes a time where the parental input stops (or at least greatly decreases) which makes it much more difficult to afford. Being in full time education, and earning so little in comparison to full time workers, it's not hard to see why many people like me are priced out. I do think it would be a wise move from Stoke to open up a better student or young adult scheme which covers the ages of say 16-25. I know they offer tickets to Staffs uni etc. but for a season ticket there is no huge deal to be had, particularly when these are the years where the major cost of the tickets is passed over from the bank of mum and dad for most people.

Thanks for your reply. I think you make interesting points about the club's (& football generally) lack of interest in this age group. I'd also like to know whether you know many people of your own age group who attend games? Do you attend with people of your own age?

I have attended with a few people of my own age for the past couple of seasons, all of whom have had season tickets. Two sat with me and one just further along the stand. Both of the people I went with have now stopped going, both for money reasons. One is taking up a different hobby meaning he can't afford to attend, and the other just plain can't afford to attend, forcing him to take up stewarding for the matches instead. Apart from these people, I know very few Stoke supporters within my age group compared to the gloryhunting 'my dad went to Manchester once' type. And now we've all moved on to higher education, most of those have now been priced out.

see im 26 now and have had an adult season ticket since I was 20 and in a job that had no weekends and paid enough for me to afford!
prior to that I had a season ticket that my father paid for till I was 16 when I was sent to work, often at that age weekends are the norm and made having a season ticket a waste of time!
our youth price season tickets are reasonable but its worth remembering that most kids from 16-18/20 are working every weekend

I don't see that many youngsters a fact which hadn't occurred to me before reading this thread. Suppose I just assumed they were mainly in the family stand, where we used to sit before my Son became too old for us to have our ST's there any more. He's at uni at the moment and its not viable for him to have a ST, I really hope he will be able to rejoin me and my Dad after he graduates but I suppose it depends on how far away his career takes him. I think its great for family bonds that we all share a passion for Stoke City and think the club should pull out all the stops to recruit and retain future generations of fans. I've posted my frustrations on numerous occasions about how slow the club has been to increase capacity and grow the fanbase IMO its shortsighted, smalltime thinking.

The average age of a premier league supporter is 41. I think this contributes to the lack of atmosphere at most grounds - those most likely to sing or shout are young (and pissed ) Not the boring old farts like me who sit moaning about the weather, the wages of the players, lack of stripes, etc etc.

my 3 daughters are season tickets holders 7, 12 and 15.
They're not really priced out at £99 per season ticket, although older ones are now 149?
