Have Wimbledon won with Akinfenwa or has Akinfenwa won with Wimbledon

Brilliant story; that Akinfenwa is a monster - would eat even Faye for breakfast! Actually, he's too musclebound really for a footballer.

I'm surprised the argument about the penalty lasted so long. The other player must have some balls. Did you notice Higgi never mentioned the players arguing as he did it with Hoefkens Was that the Norwich game? Harsh on hoefkens at the time because he had never missed one had he?

Pretty irritating how the BBC live text is riddled with references to Wimbledon getting to the third tier "for the first time in their history"

Best team on the day won. Plymouth didn't really turn up - they'll be gutted.

Isn't the Plymouth goalkeeper Luke McCormick? If my memory serves me was he convicted of the deaths of a couple of children on the M6 in Cheshire? As part of his defence/plea did he say he'd never play professional football again? I might be thinking of someone else, the name just rings a bell.

Yes, he is scum and it is a disgrace that he's back playing.

They're now back at the same level the original Wimbledon would've been playing at after their relegation in 2003/04.
Incredible rise out of nothing over the last thirteen years.
2003 - 9th (level of football) 2004 - 9th 2005 - 8th 2006 - 7th 2007 - 7th 2008 - 7th 2009 - 6th 2010 - 5th 2011 - 5th 2012 - 4th 2013 - 4th 2014 - 4th 2015 - 4th 2016 - 4th 2017 - 3rd

Twice the legal limit and had previously helped police promote safe driving. Whereas poor Luke might be a bit gutted at losing today and not picking up the trophy as the team's captain, I'm sure he'll get over it pretty soon, unlike the parents of the two lads that died.
Chin up Luke.

That 9th tier they started in was the Midlands Counties League !! Sent from my GT-I9192 using proboards

Drink driving, no insurance driving over 100mph. 2 kids killed, father wheelchaired needing 24/7 care for life. Cant believe that Plymouth made him club captain on his return & fans voted him player of the season!!!! What are they on!!! Made my support of Wimbledon more animated I can tell you!

Was just behind it when it happened and 6 hours later was still sat on the M6. You could see the paramedics, police and firemen visibly upset by what they saw down the embankment where the car of the poor family ended up. Was very very sad.......

She had no association with Plymouth, whereas she had a stand named after her at Sheff Utd and asked for her name to be removed if they re-signed what was at that time a convicted rapist.

I always have tons of respect for Plymouth's support. They cover such distances in good numbers but never really seem to have a team that fulfills the club's potential. I think they could and should be a Championship outfit. "Could" ? They already have been

Got to be Plymouth,my local team as I live in Devon and they`re taking nearly 40,000 to Wembley. This always makes me laugh - where are the other 35,000 on a usual match-day ???? (Just like the 15,000 Grimsby "fans" who were at Wembley recently )

(Just like the 15,000 Grimsby "fans" who were at Wembley recently ) No point in singling out Plymouth fans for criticism. We took 32,000 to the Mil Stad for the playoff game against Brentford. At the time our average league attendance was, what, 14,000 or less? It happens to ALL clubs who don't average 35,000+ for league games. If we must criticise clubs for their following better to criticise those clubs whose fans DON'T take a decent following to Wembley for playoffs and cup finals.

Not too sure about this AFC Wimbledon"fairytale" ,yes it's a great story unless you happen to be involved with or support Kingstonian ,they ground shared with AFC W at their Kingsmeadow ground until they hit financial problems which ended up with AFC W buying the ground "to help both clubs" ,now AFC W are in talks to build a new ground close to the old Plough Lane and have reached an agreement to sell Kingsmeadow to Chelsea so where that leaves Kingstonian god knows !
