Some stewards are fucking pricks. Just like some of our fans. The difference is stewards are paid to keep the peace. Stewards are paid to act appropriately, and provide some protection to fans. It was police failings and a lack of stewarding which resulted in the Hillsborough crush. Last night, you've got a couple of stewards kicking fans, you've got other stewards intentionally causing crushes at the bottom of the stands and you've got other stewards generally acting like a fucking pricks. You really are an absolute fuck nugget though aren't you? Your whole thing is shifting the blame onto supporters because you didn't get a lap of honour or some garbage. Quite evidently, Wilko had the best night he could have hoped for. He was absolutely buzzing. I hope he doesn't read your utter bollocks, because it was his night and he loved it. Calm down flower. Why are you getting all emotional? I had a great night last night. It was just a shame the night didn't end as planned, as the fans couldn't follow simple instructions. Not at all surprised mind. Great send off for a club legend though.

It was a new crew of stewards in charge last night.
They need games.

I've already told you once, that I was on the pitch, and I didn't hear a single announcement fully. There was lots of singing, lots of chanting, and just generally the noise escapes from the pitch because the speakers are placed around the stands. I heard one word which was "players" and I assumed it was because some lads had followed a couple of players down the tunnel, because stewards appeared right there. I had no idea they were asking people to leave the pitch. Even so, they completely fucked that up, because according to my old man, they asked everyone to make their way to the exits, and then belatedly asked them to return to the seats for a lap of honour. Everyone had already gone home ffs.

All staff and stewards were aware at a premium match briefing that there would be a last minute penalty and would that would mean.
No excuse at all for the behaviour of a few of the stewards.

Once they left the pitch, it almost cleared entirely. You're massively over egging the pudding here and tbh, it's a joke. Wilko had a great night, hence his gratitude after the game. It's a shame that some people just cannot be happy.

Now, we're at a bit of a stand off.... because either I'm a liar and that's what you're calling me or I'm telling the truth and your point becomes slightly redundant because if it wasn't audible then how could I have followed those orders? I look forward to your reply.

We left the pitch when the stewards started to come on and ask people to leave, but whilst walking off what was being said over the tannoy was to my ears inaudible. When we got off the pitch by the dugouts, plenty of people were leaving for the exits and you could then make out what was being said.
Anyway give it a rest now mate, you must be a health and officer or some other jobsworth because you keep talking about it till someone acknowledges you and gives a bollocking or a banning order to all the thousands who did go on the pitch.

I can assure you that I am not lying whatsoever, which makes your point completely invalid. If I couldn't hear it, then I doubt anyone else could. The mood was jubilant and therefore there were people talking and singing, and any noise from the tannoy was simply drowned out. So, I'm not a knuckle dragger, and I'm not an insensitive rude arsehole who ruined it for everyone else. I'm a supporter who made his way onto the pitch and was unable to hear calls to leave it.

Exactly my point. He's basically calling me a knuckle dragger and a liar. The fact is, there may have been 6 fucking announcements, but I heard none of them, not fully anyway. I heard a single word and as I've explained, it made sense that it was telling fans not to follow players down the tunnel. There were stewards there and it looked quite clear why they were doing that.

Banning order? What the fuck are you on about? What are you after then, because you're the only one constantly blarting about it? Calling fans cunts and knuckle draggers. Just to get a reaction I think.

I'm glad somebody caught this on camera. We were watching from the upper tier. The guy got knocked over, and decided to kick anything that moved when he got to his feet. Seemed to throw in a couple of sly backhanders too. Unbelievable. That may be how it looked at the time but he actually kicks out trying to leg someone up and the force makes him fall over himself too. Disgraceful. The sentinel clip of him clearly shows him doing it towards the end. . This. He kicked the bloke with such force he went over himself. Prior to this he'd chased a few onto the pitch trying to kick out as well, and he did indeed throw several punches. We watched him (and reported him) from the front corner of the Q railings, as soon as he realised a small group were pointing at him he slunk off and didn't return. I only saw the fella as he got back to his feet, his actions from that point were totally unacceptable. I hope appropriate action will be taken, as it seems a lot of people witnessed his cowardly acts, and he has been caught on camera too. No need for supporter arguments on this thread chaps, we are all in this together, regardless of your views on the end of last nights game.

It looked like people started to leave once the pitch invasion started. In 5 minutes or so it took for me to walk down the seddon to get on to the pitch, walk across to the dugouts to the leave the other side was when the announcements started and even then people were streaming out. It looked to me that a lot of players got the opportunity for a good send off during the game and the subs. Anyway as it was all planned that they would allow a pitch invasion, the easiest solution would have been to announce at the beginning or during the game that the players would be out at the end and would only do so if the pitch was clear. TBH even after walking out of the John Smiths I didn't make out that a lap was going to happen.
