We didn't have Imbula for a good part of that. He shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. What a crock of shit that statement is Nah. Away maybe but at home he should be nowhere near the side. He's the epitome of why we've been so shite at home.

He slows the play down and creates next to nothing in a role that should be all about creativity. He'd be a great sub to bring on when we need to keep the ball. But with how he plays he's more suited to replace Whelan than play the number 10 role. It's a waste having him so far forward like we did.

Nobody actually has a good argument for him which says quite a lot. And his best games at home came with the awful false 9 tactics. It's a waste of our most creative player (Bojan). If he was fit I'd actually have been tempted to play Afellay like Liverpool do with Joe Allen. That would suit his game perfectly. Being a creative player up the pitch doesn't.

Plenty of good arguments. If you don't give the ball awAy you don't lose matches. Of the list of reasons why our home record is iffy this season Afellay wouldn't even make the top 10.....

So you want a player that creates next to nothing in a creative role? Why? bojans too lightweight and hasnt been the same player since his injury

Sideways passing, slow deliberate play and no cutting edge is near the top. Afellay epitomises that.

So you want a player that creates next to nothing in a creative role? Why? bojans too lightweight and hasnt been the same player since his injury Yet he's still scored and created more. Amazing. Afellay isn't a number 10. He keeps the ball, you want that further back or from the bench when you're winning.

It's unfair to make a judgment on a player who can't even speak English, He needs to adjust to the English game.

Afellay clearly I genuinely thought we were on about Imbula! Nah but I do wish Hughes would play him deeper too. Because if he doesn't he's another Hughes signing where he's signed a player for one position and he then doesn't deem him good enough for it. It's starting to get a bit of a habit!

Won't matter, Geoff will still try and give away 3 penalties and Ryan will insist on fouling people on the edge of the box.

Still not seeing anything in the press about Payet being out... would have thought there would be something even if he was just a doubt...
