All of this Huth is flawless bollocks is quite frankly getting boring.
If it wasnt for Huth we would have lost at home v Leicester as I seem to recall him slipping and costing them a goal.
The way I see it, Huth is a better defender than Wolly, but Wolly is a better all round footballer and Hughes wants footballers.
Time to move on.

We would still be in tenth position and still have the same wank goal difference even if Huth had played every game this season for us. Our issues run a lot deeper than a centre half who had hardly figured during our two record breaking seasons under this manager. Let it go you big mard arses. Good post, and good points. I speak as a huge Huth fan who has questioned Huth's leaving.

I LOVED Huth but he doesn't play for us anymore, so, as such, he is of no interest to me now.

The facts are that a number of professional managers and coaches have a different opinion as yours which have led to him making about 200 appearances for SCFC and almost 40 caps for his country. Possibly they or is it you are in the wrong jobs. Just out of interest, what is his significant contribution to this season? Just to make my working Friday go a bit quicker. It should give me a laugh if nothing else I love to engage in constructive debate and discussion about football per say and all its ingredients be it players, clubs, managers, referees etc. It's unfortunate you can't converse on the level of an adult or even a child so I'll end by saying you're a "tit" full stop. Enjoy yourself.

That result is probably just about the most painful of the season. We played those f***ers off the park in the first half and could/should've been four up. A silly challenge by Arnie and then a combination of Jonny Walters not going down and Wilson's poor defending allowed them a point they didn't deserve.

He's been colossal. Possibly the finest signing in our history and that includes Mahrez and Vardy. The effect he's had on Morgan too, unbelievable. That back four is outrageously good. (Leicester forum)
Who gives a shit about this 'all round better footballer', bollox. 'Let sleeping dogs lie.' Whatever.
Let's put this to rest once and for all.
We swapped a Stoke legend, for an 'all round better footballer', a centre back, who wears gloves in late April, who doesn't seem to have integrated himself into the Stoke ethos, that we have built our team on these last few years.
Instead of trying to make excuses, let's embrace it and learn something from this.
Next season, we need some bollocks, some steel, players who will die for the club.
Give me a Cattermole, give me some leadership. It just goes to show how important the old boys we have and are still so important to the core of our football club.
Let's learn the lessons from Leicester. Im sure the like of Shaq and Joselu will come good, but next time we are linked to the more unglamorous, dogs of war type players... Stop and think. We've been proved wrong so many times.
We turned our noses up at the Delaps, the Wingies, Sidibie, the Whelans. But they are vital to the life blood ,of any team.
So, come June, let's take a different approach . Instead of all of us getting a boner, when we're linked with some striker from France or Italy, with a reputation of scoring a hat trick in a qualifying round of the Champions League. Let's remember what we've been lacking since the turn of the year. Character, never say never, leadership, on and off the pitch.
A player who will die for Stoke City FC.

Well put together post, sad but true. We got into this division and stayed in it with a bit of heart, nerve and sinew and a fair few bullies - It's what Leicester have just won the title with and what epitomises Huth. Hughes has done a great job so far though and we cant argue with his record.. That said, Leicesters tactics against Utd were scandolous and Huth's defending was bordering on a criminal offence, but just how much would we give for a centre half who sees Fellaini's hair as another prop to harass him with

The only way this will ever be put to bed is when Hughes finally replaces Huth with a defender who can defend. What fucking use is a better all round footballer (whatever that fucking means) if they cannot defend.

A better solution would be for Hughes to recognise that tip tapping the ball along the back four is both unproductive and immensely boring. Having achieved this mind-set he could get on with allowing the centre backs to do the job for which centre backs should be employed !!!
