It must be a very tall shop window if Crouch is in it.

Don't know about crouch our other strikers should be. He still gives us a better option than all our other strikers at the moment. Took his chance of a start brilliantly. Wish joselu learnt how head, control and bring the ball down like crouch he'd be some player.

He's had his meeting with the management, he wants to go but we don't want to let him. Suppose it could change , depending on signings.

Doesn't appear on any ones radar / rumour networks as being interested in taking him. But on yesterdays display he won't have come across as damaged goods etc.

He'd be good for a team with a parachute fund looking to get straight back up.
Who could we do a swap with and for who.
Defoe perhaps I heard he scores goals.

I think TP tried to get Crouchy before he went to Soton. noticeable that every opposing teams fans clap the lad. Top player and a top bloke. He will leave at the end of the season but despite what he has achieved elsewhere he has played mostly for Stoke

If Crouchy is on the way out, where does that leave Joselu who is a tenth the player.

If Crouchy is on the way out, where does that leave Joselu who is a tenth the player. 10 or so years younger and hopefully with room to improve. Neither really fit the description of a modern striker, who has to be good on the ball and very, very quick.

Depends if you're really looking for someone with the same skill set. I prefer more of an all rounder myself. To be honest, I'm not overly impressed by any of our strikers so I'm not adverse to getting rid of 3 of them (3 of Crouch, Walters, Diouf, Joselu) and bringing in two new ones. I don't think Hughes is keen of any since none of them can hold down a place in the side. I'd prefer him to bring one or two in that are going to play consistently.

Crouch played well on Saturday and proved he can still do a job at this level if you use him correctly. Saying that, I think we should let him go and try and finally get a goal scorer.

Does Crouch really need to be 'in the shop window' just about everybody knows who the feck he is and what he can do! We simply have to find that elusive clinical finisher. I am surprised that Hughes a top striker himself has brought in such average players as Diouf and Joselu. Lets hope he can finally get it right in the summer. At least one striker has to be leaving and my order of preference would be Diouf, Crouch. Joselu

Yes, I think Crouch is in the shop window - because he does want a move and we'll probably let him have one. But I don't think that's why he was played on Saturday. I think he started on Saturday because he is technically a good player and Hughes was losing patience with his other options up front. And, to be fair to Hughes, I think the decision to start Crouch was fully justified. Whether he actually goes will depend upon getting a replacement. If we get a striker who Hughes is happy to use leading the line (hopefully someone technically good but with pace) then I think we'll let Crouch go because he deserves to get more regular starts than we have been able to give him.

What a daft post.
Firstly, MH is not the kind of manager to play a player just to show him off. He is a winner and will play the team he thinks will win. I don't know how anybody can think otherwise.
Secondly, why would Crouch need a shop window........is there is anybody in the footballing world who doesn't know the attributes of Peter Crouch. Its not like he's a 17 year old starting out, or we need the money???
