I wonder what Ange has got to say about the penalty decision?

Have we still got the receipt for Haugaard? Did he have enough to do yesterday to judge him badly?? Can't judge on a penalty surely?

Can't listen to the show tonight but would just like to say before I go out that I thought yesterday was a big improvement on the last 3 games mainly due to a solid centre half pairing(even though Geoff gave the pen away) and a British spine back in the team ie Adam and Crouch. All Hughes had to do was wear a cap and I'd have thought it was 4 years a go.Some big decisions to be made in the summer with the playing squad with who goes and who stays, should be an interesting 3 months to say the least.Enjoy the show and I'll be listening to the re-run.

I was disappointed with the pen, but have to be honest I'd missed the earlier handball which could have easily been given! Thought crouch and Adam did well and we created some good opportunities (if only we could have put a couple of them away!!!)
On the train the general consensus with Sunderland fans was that they'd take the "gift" of a point...
Also wish people would write off players...can't judge imbula yet,
Can we pleeeeeease get Arnie to sign a new contract!!

I thought we played better than of recent weeks but Sunderland matched us I thought. Still major improvements needed this summer.

Also I thought Adam was our best player.

This season
Inconsistent results Inconsistent performances Inconsistent team selections Inconsistent formations
No real shock that we are where we are

Shaqiri's injury prone, 1 good game in 6 and defitnley not a winger. Big disappointment for me

Keep arnie at any price in my opinion
Everything worth doing comes through him and his goals have been priceless
I think if he goes then we are in deep do do

Penalties rarely just happen. Yesterday we lost concentration. Geoff realised too late that the player he should have been marking (Defoe) was unmarked on the edge of the area.

How do we know the youngsters aren't good enough? maybe the manager just hasn't given them the chance.

Worth noting our U21 team lost 2-0 to Crewe a relegated Div 1 team poor to say the least Need changes of Academy Manager/Coaches

Spot on - we had a team of better footballers but were dragged down to their level by hoofing it. A real throwback to the good old days. As for the centre-half pairing - one of them gave away two stonewall penalties and they both struggled to cope with a 33 year forward. Looking back on the game, we were, bar the odd flash, dog shit.

Big Sam is a tw@t. I'm not one to wish anyone relegated, but I hope this lot go down now. Sunderland didn't create anything all game and didn't deserve anything from it.
