What are your expectations for next season? If it's Champions League places achieved through blistering attacking football, then I'm afraid you'll almost certainly be let down. I think a decent realistic target would be 60 points (2 more wins than last season). We've reached the stage where if we're to improve on previous years, we'll need to have a little bit of luck with injuries & so on but I think it's certainly achievable.

Mid table with the hope of a good cup run and a Wembley appearence

Every season, giving it 100% every game and finishing mid table, pushing 7th or 8th even. And making the odd Wembley appearance, we really need to win a trophy

To try our best to win each and every game we play in and see where it takes us.
And,as fans, not to get too carried away when we are on a good run or throw our toys out of the pram and demand the managers head on a spike at the first sign of a bad run.

Better placed than we finish this season. Good cup run. Less injuries, more consistency.

Win the league with 6 games to spare. Go 50 league games unbeaten. Win the champions league without conceding. Win the world cup. Build a 100k terraces only stadium - Corners would be great.

Since August 2010 only 7 clubs have achieved more points than Stoke in the premier league
I'm not sure what people genuinely want or expect

Oh and score from a corner - that'd be great.

I just want to see a team that gives everything they have , I always figured that a club like Stoke can finish anywhere between 8th and bottom of this league , but maybe Leicester have raised the bar this time .
i'm a little disappointed this season because i don't think our squad has given us everything at times but the points total is decent enough

And making the odd Wembley appearance, we really need to win a trophy I'd finish before the first "and" in your statement. We are STOKE. All I want is for the team to play as if that means something to them. If they do that, then all this nonsense about "win this" "reach that" is irrelevant. We WILL achieve great things. These are some of the best times to be a Stokie, we have the best team in the last 40 years. All they have to do is give 100% every game and we will surpass any of our previous achievements!

Approach every game with a can win mentality. Do that and there's no recourse. Get to and win a Wembley final. Never been, had to work previously. Just be ambitious and put the effort in and I'll continue to drag my carcass to the Brit365bowl and beyond.
Fuck it just go for broke and see where it gets us.
Down is not an option.

Since August 2010 only 7 clubs have achieved more points than Stoke in the premier league I'm not sure what people genuinely want or expect errrr ......intrinsically that does not make sense. If we achieved the 8th most points in the league, then over that period we should have surely finished 8th or better at least once? Oh Hang on .... I get it, we are the 9th longest running club in the PL at the moment. That means we have socred more points than 1 other club with the same number of seasons .... My Guess is Villa and/or Sunderland. Hmmm, that makes that statistic seem ridiculously poor!

Depends who we buy in the summer. Isn't that guy Blofeld from that carribean island available on loan. They say he's got the weapons we need. ????

First of all solidly, looking upward from Mid Table. The squad becoming more capable - better able to replace injures to key players with,
at least as good, or better.
A tilt at cups without detriment to our league status
looking to finish better than ninth
in terms of players comings and goings, I expect up to half a dozen moved out.
and the following new acquisitions ( assuming our acadamy is still not producing the goods)
a) A new number 2 keeper to push and properly cover Butland b) 2 young pacey fullbacks to press our existIng ones c) A centre half - strong, reliable able to play in either spot d) A real younger hard nosed midifield holding player - agile, ruthless, hard and efficient e) Last but not least, striker whom we can finally rely on to get more than 15 goals a season

When you think in those 6 years most clubs in today's prem will have been relegated or promoted and hence missed out on at least 1 season of 40 or more points I guess the 7 are; Chelsea, Man United, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton (Everton is a slight guess). It's really a tribute to our longevity in the prem.

Lots of other clubs have spent time outside the division in that time because... they were worse than Stoke

For some of our fans to understand that constant, uninterrupted progress and improvement is near impossible and accept that not every season is going to be better than the last. We've reached a level where it's going to be incredibly difficult to keep on improving year over year, so just get behind the team and enjoy what is arguably the best period in our history. We have a management team that have built on and improved upon the previous regimes success. We have ownership that are not afraid to back the club financially, and we have a squad with the ability to beat any team in the league on their day. A few minor tweaks, a few less injuries and a bit more consistency would see us challenging for European spot, but some people need to stop acting like we have a divine right to see that happen. I'm pretty satisfied with where we stand and looking optimistically towards next season knowing that if the planets align, we're more than capable of eclipsing any other season in our 150+ year history. I'm not sure you could realistically ask for more than that.
