I fail to understand why so called FANS leave early, what do they do with the 10 mins they save,if they rush home to watch TV,do they turn the programme of 10 mins before it finishes,it seems they do not want to see the conclusion of anything. Why walk out when the other team have a penalty, don't they ever think the keeper might bring of a great save. Some folk must have very important, busy lives in which the match is just one of a huge list of priorities. Match days for me have only one priority; the match.

Probably a cultural thing about the UK , LOTS of countries see it as a day out. The Germans seem to have it sussed atmosphere without too much violence and passionate support , just another thing to put up with in dull Britain I guess , more progress no doubt

I ocassionally arrive late and leave early. Important busy life? Important no, busy very much so. Leave late so I can watch the kids play football or cause the wife is at work. Leave early so I can get beat the rush and get back to Manchester in time for the wife to go out or to see the kids swimming lessons. Great that you are able to dedicate yourself 100% to the whole match day, well done on that.......

I'm at work 70 miles from home superfan..... Must be hell at your work. Your banter is Sunday League. I'll leave you to it you've probably got league ladders to update, your SCFC duvet to wash and your scrap book to fill in before mentally preparing all week for the trip to Palace. Enjoy your Bank Holiday superfan.....

If I was asked what do you think makes a top supporter of a team, making a noise would not come high on my agenda. So what is high on your agenda? The word "supporter" itself has a definite statement! It suggests, to me, that if you are someone who "supports" a club you are 100% positive and behind the agenda of the club and what it is trying to achieve, certainly a supporter has no negative influence within. As depressing and as disappointing as performance can be at times; a good supporter, to me, is one that remains faithful to the cause and ambition of the club and does not undermine plans with negativity. Some people have more money than others so I have never been influenced by how much money a person spends per season. I believe their are people who eat, drink and live their lives saturated with thoughts of their club who cannot afford to attend every match. The question is "does it make them any less a supporter? " I am a season ticket holder and attend every game if I can. For the above reasons I would place belief, faith and faithfulness above any noise you could make. It is amazing what can be achieved when everyone is driving in the same direction! Stoke City and it's hierarchy are working hard to continue to drive the progress of the club and it's status forward. One season in the future I believe we will achieve what Leicester have done this season. Do I have negative thoughts about individual matches, players and periods during a season. Of course I do but I now keep my own council as it serves no purpose to spout negative drivel. Lastly making noise at a game does influence atmosphere and performance. Some people enjoy this aspect of the afternoon more than the game. I would not criticized! Other than to say it does not make you a better supporter than someone who doesn't shout.

The atmosphere is shite, unless we are playing the "Big" teams, our season has been shite too, apart from a few memorable games e.g. Citeh, the Shite. Our home form is the worst since we got promoted & our players (the majority) are not producing the effort that justifies their monumental salaries. Can't blame anyone for leaving early & it's difficult to motivate an atmosphere when it's not being reciprocated on the pitch. Roll on a successful summer transfer period................

I've often thought that the best atmospheres, regardless of opposition, are where there had been either full blooded challenges or controversy against us early on in the game. The crowd feeds off passion on the pitch, whether that's wilko winning the ball and sending someone into row Z or a quick, committed counter attack. I just think the current atmosphere is a symptom of modern football - an old skool heavy challenge and physical battle on the pitch will always get the crowd going more than a well executed Cruyff turn. I'm afraid we have moved on from kicking people into row Z. I'd prefer the Cruyff turn anyday.

Quite a few empty seats too which I was surprised about. There were around me. Fortunately the experts stayed away but there were stills fair few knicker wetters in attendance.

It was a case of: hope we dont lose heavily again hope we dont get anymore injuries then follows a display of 'same old, same old' - cant score and implode at the death.
Singing and cheering is hard at the moment, we need something to fight for, we are Stoke!
