I remember very well the first two films that I saw on VHS
My mum rented out Smokey & The Bandit and Clash Of The Titans
Then it was Jaws 2 later in the week
Renting tapes was a big part of my youth
happy days and thanks mum x

I remember these well
Loved all the Italian knock offs that ripped off Conan The Barbarian and Mad Max 2...
This was a particular favourite

When you put up The Wanderers, I immediately thought of The Warriors. I only saw it once, and thought it was one of the best things ever. Looking back at the this trailer, perhaps it was not as good as I thought it was at the time...

Its dated a little, there was some talk of a Tony Scott directed remake
May I offer you this..
Russell Crowe seems less keen on bringing it up!

Me & me Dad went & bought a Betamax in Stoke, then picked a film each to watch. I picked Quadrophenia & he chose Apocalypse Now. I think he chose best. God rest his soulXx

We were a Betamax family. Rented a couple of films from a place just off the A34 on the south side of 'castle (at the junction with Bradwell Lane). My brother was allowed to choose both films: One flew over the cuckoos nest and The Deer Hunter. They may be viewed as classics, but as family viewing they were pretty crap. Don't like either film as a consequence.

In fact, I would strongly recommend you watch it together, over a hot mug of cocoa each. It might be wise to warn her that JR is not in it, though, to pre-empt any disappointment. Parts of it can get a bit hairy, though, so hang on to your cowboy hats and enjoy the ride.

used to rent from Queensway Video at Stoke, and one opposite the Black Lion Trent Vale, run by a chap named Ron. naturally, its a take away now!
Both long gone; run by kindly old gents who specialised in video nasties and the latest pirated copies
Good days..This was a favourite at the time
And this
