This was the big one for me. Had a massive grin on my face when I saw the confirmation he'd signed.
I even texted the wife who has zero interest in football. She's probably still trying to work out who Arnie is.

His brother has agreed with the wages now, just a few small details involving signing on fees, but yeah it looks like it will be all done. Don't know if his bro has flown over to the USA with Allen and Scholes and a few others today or it will be competed when the squad returns from Orlando Please don't be jumping the gun How come?

That's so unlike you, makes a change from poison dripping, anti Stoke posting general killjoying of everything I suppose. But I know it's been a hard week for you, here's to some negative news next week. Oh, you need some new material, merchant of doom. By the way, what is your opinion exactly of this good news? I'm all ears.

To me the deal signifies another step in our progression as a club. The ability to keep a top quality player is definite progress.

Now stop posting your sarcastic, fence sitting , un-opinionated views on everything I post, you boring little man .

You only post your opinions when it involves negativity or slagging the club off.

Close friend whose son works for the club. He told me about signing Bojan and Diouf before it became public. No reason not to believe him. There you go Sorensen82. Some of us do have decent contacts but can't very well say who they are for obvious reasons.

If this young epyptian lad is any good on the left, wonder if Arnie will play as striker. Got to be an option I was going to suggest the same thing - does anyone else think that he is a better option as a striker than £25m Berahino? I do.

Best deal we will do this year.
Our best deal since we signed England's best goal keeper.
Very happy!

It depends how well he reads the game in the striker position. He can certainly finish inside the area, but his long range shooting needs some work.

Lol Arnautovic brother wanted to see if Stoke's offer of £70k a week is the best out there, Everton were not willing to match our offer, but he was still holding fire of another club offering. Stoke lined up his replacement and leaked out the fact we had started negotiations with Chadli from Spurs. Once the story hit social media his brother must of panicked as that day he came to Claytonwood to talk over the new deal. Arnies Bro knew his brother wanted to stay at Stoke and did not want to risk his place in the team if the club brought his replacement

I think we are a pretty attractive opportunity, and have a manager who is taking us forward Doesn't matter now anyway seeing as Arnie has signed a new deal, which I can't say I'm as excited about as some on here Not excited at our best player signing a 4yr contract? Coleman could probably have his pick of the top 6 in this country if available for transfer and you think we'd have a chance...i know we are fishing in a bigger pool nowadays but really? I think it's more of a case of our third best (Butland and a fit Shawcross) having no other options, rather than him wantig to stay. If he did want to stay, arguably he would have signed his contract before the Euro's in order to go and focus on that, rather than trying to put himself in the shop window Just the gut feeling I'm getting RE Coleman, we got Shaqiri, Bojan and Affellay who I never thought would consider coming to us, never mind actually signing and playing So why not?
