So you would love England to do well BUT you "can't wait" to see us get battered. Hmmmm. Cognitive dissonance? Actually, no I'll rephrase that, I actually do want to see England fail, hopefully catastrophically, because the reality is mate, we have absolutely no chance of winning the Euro's, or the World Cup, as it currently stands. When it happens, perhaps we can clear out the dinosaurs that are still running the show and start again eh? Another quarter final penalty loss will only result in more time wasted as we fuck around preparing for the World Cup. I would rather us lose in the group stage, clear out the crap, and then build a top team for World Cup 2018 and actually try and compete. Germany did it, and look at them nowadays. Actually, better not eh? Go bury your head in the sand.... or should I say the flag? My head isn'tin the sand when it comes to the England team mate. I was pointing out the inferiorities when some were droning on about a golden generation. And as I said before patriotism doesn't come into it. Supporting a team doesn't mean you expect to win. Although, in all fairness, if Stoke won the league next season you would call steroids. By the way, when you look at the stature of football tteams quarter final is ny any historical measure is a good tournament for England.

Apart from a couple of hours in 1966 England have always been also rans. A few good moments here and there and that's it. Our chances of winning this are on a par with say Portugal. We are average. Not crap average. Not world beaters average.
