Always thought this was a classy cover. Some great stuff on this thread too. Don't listen to much metal these days, nostalgia permiting but it dont half make me feel like a 10yr old again. Rock and metal will always be my birth place for my love of music.

Any of you Denim clad doyens of Riff detect any Metal in this?
Or is it all stone?

Better suited to the Prog Rock thread? Or like me favourite types of music when styles collide. Kyuss.

Are Melt Banana considered to be metal? Brilliant live. Whatever the genre.
It's a song about cycle paths.

Nice to see some honest hard rock on here!
Something different from 1991; progressive thrash with a DJ, waaay before others were using it
And some true metal from the mighty Manowar!!
(This should be sung at the Britt, stirring stuff!)

To be fair, Dirt is one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded

Even better version of Bells.. Not for me. I grew tired of S&M very quickly. For me this is arguably the greatest performance they ever did of Bells: But I love that early version with Cliff. It's so raw.

That Live Shit Binge & Purge CD/DVD set is a must, aint it for any Metallica fan!
I agree, its a good performance when the band were arguably at their peak

Women don't get much of a look in but there are some good female fronted acts like Nightwish & Epica about
That Metallica S&M classical thing got me into stuff like this..
(Nice fan made LOTR videos to go with it)

Great Megadeth shouts, TF
Saw them live at Apollo, Manchester in 1991; supported by Alice In Chains and The Almighty
Great gig - good band perhaps slightly hindered by Mustaine's vocals maybe??
But technically as musicians, at least as good if not better than Metallica. just the vocals weren't quite my bag
This was a cracker though
