Could it be any worse trying 442 versus Sunderland .With Diouf and Joselu playing together right up top.
Obviously against the bigger clubs we might get swamped in midfield but we at least might get some action in our attacking third going 2 up top .
I don't think those two have played up top all season.

What happened to the Man City game - have I missed it??
We clearly need to be more solid, defend from the front and work 'ard for each other far more in the remaining games. I'd stick Cameron alongside Whelan for a start, play Joselu up front (for Sid!) with Imbula as the third midfielder pushing on, with Arnie and Bojan attacking from wide. At least then, the 4-3-3 would have three actual midfielders in it, and a bit more steel.

Lets deal with Man City first. A decent performance there will change everything.

Every fucker is using the term these days and it really pisses me off, in fact nothing pisses me off more in football. What pisses me off the most is that people who have been watching football for years and know that the correct term is "up front", are using that pathetic term just because they think it makes them cool or in with the crowd or summat. Grown men who should know better. Fucking up top my arse.

Good question. He's our top scorer from last season and our only player with genuine pace. He seems to have largely been forgotten about whilst we watch people pass and run sidewards, slowly.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek mate, but I think Hughes has gone off him. Neither Diouf nor Joselu are the answer to a constant question. One of them will go and I think it'll be Diouf. We got him on a free and he has a value. We'll persevere with Joselu I think. Don't get me wrong, I like Diouf but his ball control and hold up play aren't good enough to be a long term option and, irrespective of his traumatic year, his omission from most starting line ups and appearances on the wing suggest his days are numbered.

We've got a pool of strikers that barring Diouf have all signed contracts this season and he signed one last and we're in a position where as fans I don't think any of us would be arsed if all 5 left! So yes they do make mistakes but this is a pretty big one really.

He gave them new contract, that was presumably his decision. I can see why for Walters (just) but giving Crouch a contract made no sense. The fifth is Wingie. Another one he gave a contract to when he didn't have to.
