We can slag off the players and manager all we want but tonight, for me showed that all isn't well behind the scenes at SCFC.
The last couple of seasons have seen us with our foot on the gas right until the last kick of the season but the last few weeks results have seen a gradual regression.
Is arnies contract talks having an unsettling effect in the camp? Who knows.....
The change in formation from week to week - ok this potentially is down to injuries but we have a squad that should be able to cope with this - no?
I personally think something has gone but what exactly that is I ain't got the foggiest.
Certainly concerning at any rate.....
One confused potter right now!

Too much money... Too little effort.
But yes.... I can smell a rat too.
Arne needs to bugger off because we won't pay him what he's after.

We're just playing really, really, really, really really shit at the moment. That's all there is to it really. There have to be reasons why though surely? Especially when we are putting in the gutless performances that we have done the last two games.

I just don't see the heart, pride or spirit at the moment - yeh we've nothing to play for position wise but FFS at least play like you care - Kane's comments pinned to the dressing room wall should've been enough to make em want to shove it down his horse-faced throat.....but no, just lame capitulation.......Hughes needs to take a long hard look at the motivation, attitude and overall mentality that seems to be prevailing at the moment.....

Our frailties were exposed by a very talented group of players with an outstanding manager who demands and gets effort and teamwork to go with their ability , we have players who are not fit and others who wont work and they need shifting and soon

Walters on the wing instead of Bojan would have made a difference but what do I know. I don't even know if we will see him again. Was Shaq injured?

Isn't this what happened at Hughes's QPR? Disorganised overpaid fancy-pants mercenaries who won't put a shift in? Stoke fans want graft.

I can't see Fergie or other hard nosed bastards letting this happen - Instead of a trip to "warm-weather training in the Middle East". Hughes should have given them "I all I want to see from now one is assholes and elbows until things improve" lecture, with the hair dryer and kitchen sink thrown in for good measure. They're under contract for the entire not until there's "nowt to play for".

Sooner Arnie goes the better Let's just get rid of our top scorer and probably our player of the season. The player who has won us more games than anybody this season......

Regardless of my personal feelings about him I think his contract situation isn't helping and if he was going to sign he would have done already, pretty sure it's rubbing other people in the dressing room up the wrong way too, and if we get a good price for him sure Hughes and Cartwright can unearth another gem!

My guess is:
The fans are pretty (extremely) deflated at the moment. Despite injuries we looked like we were on our way to Wembley and possibly a place in Europe, but all of a sudden we were hit by more injuries and got knocked out of the cup competitions and took three 3-0 defeats on the chin. That would have knocked the stuffing out of anyone, but we were lucky! We then came up against 3 second rate sides and a weakened Chelsea side and got 3 victories and a draw. That probably made us all far too optimistic again and raised our expectations to an unreasonable level. Subsequent matches have seen poor performances.
What's wrong? Well if the fans are deflated imagine how the players feel. I guess they are pretty gutted. Their hopes of Wembley finals and European football have evaporated.
I'm ever the optimist and believe there is nothing wrong that a couple of good victories can't put right.

8 goals in 2 games. This is not even mid table form. This frustrates me so much as Stoke are always like this. You think you can really make something of a game and we roll over and get destroyed. Hughes needs to sort it out something isn't right.

Hellu! Have Arnie demanded more money? Sell him. And Adam as well. And Crouch. Bojan our best man. Again. Hopefully Butland gets back problem free soon. We need him sooo much, it showed tonight again. Joselu were invisible tonight, but he deserves another chance. Wollscheid a risk again. youghurt//:musik

The Premier League is fast and physical, we have two gifted 'luxury' players in Bojan and Shaquiri, both are lightweight. That has to be balanced by the other outfield players so when we have others who don't put a shift in we get stuffed.

The fact Imbula does no work off the ball means Whelan has to do two people's work. In general, before the second goal, we did ok. We just need to stop imploding after conceding. I thought Jos, Afellay and Glenn were the only people to come out with credit. In addition, at least it shows that kicking out Haugaard wasn't the answer, and that it was a deeper problem.

And really, really, really, really, really slow......I can't believe how much the game slows down when we get the ball, fuck me, Spurs were shit hot........ And don't get me started on the lack of movement off the ball, Spurs made it extremely difficult for us, they closed us down before we even got the ball, and they make spaces for each other....we pass the ball and fuckin "STOP" as if to admire the player who's got it!!!

Nail on head. This sideways/backwards crap is the fault of the players not moving off the ball. If there are no options going forward, the player with the ball has no choice but to go sideways or backwards and reset.
