Would you like to wheel out the 'every manager makes poor purchases' line about another manager mate, whose exit led to spending being significantly reigned in? The Knights, Sidwells and Harewoods were his Kightleys, Palacioses and Arismendis. There really weren't a lot of tears shed when he left. There was the perception he was a one trick pony, overly cautious and ignoring a promising youth set up. They cocked up the succession massively. If they'd appointed Hughes instead of McCleish I think there's a good chance things wouldn't be quite this bad for them. They've got every single appointment wrong since MON went. Could not of put it better myself Who do you want as next manager, staffs?

Sad to see them go, but have to agree with broomey about the scandalous ticket prices and poor treatment of away fans in the ground.
You can trace their demise to Fuller's arrival on the pitch after an hour in the 2-2 draw 2008-9. If they'd won that game they were red hot favourites for a Champion's League finish.

Once the drama has settled down a bit I'm looking at the premier league table feeling a bit saddened that a fellow Midlands team has been relegated. For all the years of "rivalry" between our two clubs I can't see them bouncing back up anytime soon. Shame really. The horrible cunts. The sad thing for me is the increasing dominance of the southeast teams. All the rich foreigners seem to want london based teams and are beginning to take over.

I can think of about 15 teams I'd rather go down than Villa. But it won't bother the media, much like it wouldn't if Stoke were relegated. Just watch the crocodile tears when either N'castle or Sunderland (or hopefully both) go down. The end of the world will be nigh.
OS.

Sad that they have gone to be honest. A decent local derby and a good chance of poits.
We have lost Villa, Bolton (our fault), Wigan, and Blackburn in recent seasons.
Replaced by Southampton, Watford, and Norwich.

The gravity crocodile will only be happy when it has its jaws around Stoke City.

Could not of put it better myself Who do you want as next manager, staffs? Not sure, but it's got to be someone with championship experience so from the names being linked I'd like dyche from Burnley but he's looking at another crack at the premier league so a non starter from the rest moyes or Pearson would be the two I'd go for, either would be OK I think!
