I saw Thin Lizzy live twice within a week in the 70's on their Black Rose tour - once at Bingley Hall, and then the following weekend at Trentham Gardens - brilliant gigs.

Loved SAHB - I saw them at the Victoria Ground on the same bill as YES in the early 70's (1973 ?) - fantastic band live.

Anyone a fan of 'Japandroids' ? Not often a bad goes by without me noticing but I heard their 3rd album the other day and thought it was rather good. Classic America rock n' roll in the style of Gaslight Anthem I'd describe them as.

.... Separately obviously. Oh, and hopefully we've dodged Cyclone Debbie - should hit south of Townsville (hopefully where there are just cattle. Amazingly resilient, just stick their bums into the wind)

"While the poor people sleepin' wit the shade on the light.." Fabulous, fabulous band.
Indeed. Technical brilliance. As here:-
Punk Rock encouraged people to pick up a guitar, Steely Dan encouraged you to take it up Tarts in Hanley and swap it for an eight track.

Superfluous lyrics added, but the sound is decent on this version.

Back to the Bluedot. Goldfrapp and Orbital. Think this is where Alison's unusual vocalisations got their first airing..
