Life is a road, death is a myth Love is a fraud, it's misunderstood Work is a sentence, family's a drag This house is a trap
Quality, never heard that before I'll give that album a listen, I don't go much beyond 'Astral Weeks' with Van the man, though I've always liked the track 'In the Back Room' a lot.

Listening to Jonny Walkers' Sounds of the seventies earlier in conversation with David Knofler who chose the song I think. I've listened to it a few times since although I'd never heard it before either. I've got Astral Weeks and Enlightenment which is my favourite album of the two. I think he's what you call an original artist. I love this track off Enlightenment although the whole album is quality. For anyone of a certain generation with those radios with nobs
Pretty immune to him until the early 80's and this beguiling thing. Bought a second hand copy of AW, which is amazing... never really explored much further, I like the soul/gospel/choir aspect of the track you posted. "We spent all day bird watching and the craic was goood."

Famous in the Glam Rock era but an absolutely brilliant live band.
