What an absolutely insane line up! Nevermind the rest of the bill! If I'd sat down with the promoters and curated it myself, it wouldn't have looked much different! Some good stuff on there fella. And a few groups who I havent seen yet but hope to do so.King Gizzard being one. We've just booked tickets! When I woke up this morning, I had absolutely no idea whatsoever that I'd be going to Primavera by the end of the day (it hadn't even been remotely discussed as an idea). But my mate sent me a link out of the blue this morning and then things just kind of spiralled from that point on! King Gizzard are one I haven't seen before myself and am really looking forward to seeing! 👍

Not heard this before - it's great! Grandaddy were one of those bands that passed me by for some reason, I need to check them out properly.

I discovered them bizarrely watching Trigger Happy TV. Dom Joly used to use He's simple, he's dumb, he's the pilot and I was blown away by the music. It's taken from The Sophtware Slump may I suggest that you listen to the album in it's entirety, it's flawless. ..... and here's my funeral music

FWIW, this is my funeral tune ... maybe we should start a separate thread for them!

The Charlatans were excellent when I saw them in Brisvegas last year though. King Gizzard flying the Southern Cross

And Luther 5 years earlier ... one of my favourite albums I still play it on a regular basis. There was a programme which discussed the making of it and one of the backing singers was waxing lyrical about Bowie's vision in the arrangements and attention to detail in particular citing this track. Just noticed someone referring to his genius saying that a few years earlier he was doing Ziggy Stardust and a few years later he would do Low.

Luther did a lot of the backing vocal arrangements with David, Bowie gave him his first break in the industry. Searching though, is one of my all time favourite ever records. Yes incredible to think that just four years earlier Bowie had done Hunky Dory when he was penniless and sleeping on a friend's couch and then went on to knock out Ziggy, Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs in between!
