Jimmy Page is a genius, the best guitarist in rock history imo.

Jimmy Page is a genius, the best guitarist in rock history imo. I like Page and Zep, but I’d take Ritchie Blackmore over him , RB is a contrary git on occasion, but when he’s good, he’s spine tingling IMO

Having said that, Blackmore’s guitar solos are something else 👍 Been lucky enough to see Rainbow and Purple a few times and he’s mainly been on good humour and form, we had front row tix for Purple at Wembley in late 80s and he shook hands and passed a beer down ( I had longest arms so got it , and was my birthday as well!). In contrast, a friend went the next night and he was disinterested at best. A proper maverick. Seen Page a couple of times but didn’t have the same wow factor. Mind you, Gary Moore could blow ones mind when he was at his rocky best. We’ve been blessed to see their likes. On a lighter note, I’m seeing the superb Johnny Marr again tomorrow, a guitar hero of a different kind

It needed the third to soothe the burn of the second First one had something about her but the bass in it pissed me off a bit. Where did you find the second?

The reason this thread must be preserved. Not listened to this for decades. It is brilliant. Thanks.

One of the lad's favourites, cracking song. I love this as well.
