"So stand up against the fireplace and wipe that look off of your face." Lyrical genius but generally boring as a band. Let me guess, jukebox at the pub last night?
The lyric was based on a line that their mother used to use.
Shame she didn't say....."If you break your leg don't come running to me".

Indeed. The temptation to sing "You ain't never going to rip my hearth out" was too much to resist. Super Sunday {Engerland warm up}. A few free beers off a local chef in exchange for a haul of the wild garlic. Btw. I'm going to the Jodrell Bank, Public Service Broadcasting gig in July, I'd never heard them until yr posts. Not sure I'd bother listening to them at home, but in the context of a gig at a telescope I can imagine it'll be pretty atmospheric.

I've just looked at the line up and it looks decent. I got hold of the Steve Mason album Meet the humans a few months back and it's a good listen.

Tim Rose. A fair stab at 'Morning Dew'. I remember hearing of him on an episode of Heir Hunters here's a small clip. There was also a gushing tribute from Jonny Walker. This clip refers to him writing the definitive version of Hey Joe prior to Hendrix.
