I do have to say, while those Derby managers weren't good they were absolutely fucked by the owners that season and even Fergie wouldn't have kept that useless bunch up. Embarrassment of a season!

Given that you didn't want to turn this into a thread into the subject you have, well.....desperately tried to turn this thread into with the post that was here, I have done you the very great service of editing out the references designed to turn this thread into what you don't want to turn it into....if you get my drift?

I hate Dave Bassett more. My one abiding memory of him was on a television programme asking the question why there weren't any UK Asian players breaking through into professional football. I can barely bring myself to recall his answers.

I can't remember their names but I half expected to see the two managers who were in charge together of Pompey during part of their crisis.

To be fair, the article should assess the clubs these people have managed. Maybe measure based on the average performance of each respective team in the previous 5 seasons before they took charge. Then look at the biggest differentials. For the seasons they weren't in the Prem they could use 35 points as a benchmark.

That list is a bit rough and some of them were only really interim appointments. There have been some major flops who have managed in the PL who I'd say did 'worse' than many of those listed in terms of who they managed and how they flopped.
Santini & Ramos were both awful for Spurs, as was AVB. Alain Perrin at Portsmouth came with a reputation and he was wank. Paul Ince and Roy Keane were pretty piss poor. Tony Mowbray was also an absolute failure at the top level. There have been many shite managers.

I recall Gullit being pretty awful at Newcastle, and how has no-one mentioned Quitterall at Sunderland ?

To be picky, the list is not 'worst managers' but 'worst managerial records'. And why win percentages rather than, say, average points won? Am I taking this too seriously?
