A truly MASSIVE game for these two struggling clubs.
A draw is of no use to either, especially if Nowrich win.
A loss for either team could mean Championship football next season ?
Could well be worth watching, there could be a few wild tackles flying in!

If the match goes the way of Sunderland, then I would dread being in Newcastle City centre after...

Great win for Norwich though no surprise when you look at who they were playing. There was only ever going to be 1 goal in it. I'd prefer Norwich to stay up but of the 2 I'd prefer Sunderland rather than Newcastle to go as I don't like Sam.

Nowrich win is massive for them and makes today's NE derby game even more crucial.
The Samaritans could be buisy in the Tyne & Wear tonight.

Norwich is a tricky one. A really good place to visit but a beast to get there.

'MoTD' said it is a Tyne-Tees derby? Somebody can't tell the difference between 'borough and Blunderland! Nonetheless, the game is massive and the loser becomes automatic favourite for the relegation spot! Personally, I fancy 'castle to win as Benitez will have got them properly organised? Clearly, a draw would suit Nowrich(only if they stay up!).

Draw or sunderland win. Send the geordies down Draw or Geordie win keeps them both in the relegation zone prefer a sunderland win, then geordies 4 pts behind sunderland and norwich. Then they have norwich and southampton away. If they lose today and those two games, they are in big trouble.

Newcastle and Sunderland are my two nearest away days at the moment. I hope Boro get promoted as that will become my nearest away day. I actually prefer Newcastle as an away day as it is a bit easier to get to and we've found great "secret" free parking which gets us away quickly at the end of the game. But I'd prefer Sunderland to stay up purely because, if Newcastle stay up with Rafa as manager, they'll become a very attractive destination for the sort of players we might be interested in. To a quality foreign based player it would be a no contest between Sunderland/Allardyce vs Newcastle/Benitez. So, come on you Mackems!

If they lose today and those two games, they are in big trouble. Nah keep them both down there. Much prefer Norwich to stay up. Far less likely to be a threat to us next year. And it would be fantastic to see the Tyne/Wear synchronised blubbing come May.

Looking forward to watching this. Bit like a cock fight (the chicken variety I hasten to add)in that you know it's wrong to watch, but it has some morbid attraction drawing you into it. So glad we aren't messing around at this end of the table.

Visiting family and the mood in Geordie land is something else, every person and their mother is shitting bricks.
Relegation on the horizon for both teams.
Going with 2-0 Sunderland.
