Just got mine on line Loaded on to card but not our usual seats so expect chaos on the night Seating on the evening is UNRESERVED, however, it is Stand-specific. That means if you have purchased seats in the BOOTHEN END, you can sit ANYWHERE in the BOOTHEN END. Until a 20 stone fella with a pie tells you to move out of his seat

Usual seats purchased - well worth it to see Mama, Ric, Rory and Cressers playing their last ever game at the Brit.

As it says on the official site - although you have to select a seat to buy a ticket online, all seats are unreserved and only stand specific

As it says on the official site - although you have to select a seat to buy a ticket online, all seats are unreserved and only stand specific Recipe for chaos. If you have to purchase a specific seat, why not just sit there. There's going to be loads of "you're in my seat" issues on the night.

Agree, if it's true then it's a monumental cock up of a decision again by the club, let people just sit in the seat that they have bought, otherwise there will be much angst in the stands as people scrabble to get to seats.

Just bought my six. Really looking forward to this game. It's like going to Wembley but without the travelling hassle for me. Carnival time! And just to emphasise: It's NO RESERVED SEATING but it is STAND SPECIFIC. OS.

Why the fucking hell wouldn't it be seat specific when you have to chose a seat online? Not a clever move in my opinion, especially given there will be a fair crowd I imagine.

All I can say is when I loaded mine onto my season card , nowhere did it say "seat unreserved". (If a pay for a seat I expect to sit in it) I'll be ringing ticket line later to confirm. If there going to be agro over seats. I will not be impressed. This is going to be a great game and doesn't need any issues to club not thinking it out properly.

Hopefully this is all typical Stoke bollocks. A case in point of the importance of precise language. You buy your seat and you sit in it. Ambiguity of meaning leads to chaos.
Anybody sitting in my seat and refusing to move will get more than a split infinitive to be sure. <winkybollocksIcan'tbearsedtofind>

I bought my tickets online yesterday and rather than have them loaded onto my card, I requested a paper ticket (for a souvenir). The tickets arrived by post this morning and they do say "unreserved seating" on them rather than have the seat numbers I booked on them.
This is rubbish if you are working late and plan to get there just before kick off - might not all be able to sit together! Can't understand why they didn't just allocate seats.
I predict a riot.

Where I sit is unavailable any way,but if you purchase a season ticket you should be able to sit in your seat.I do not know if Stoke think there is not going to be a sell out,but how they are running the seating it going to turn what should be a celebration to a player that played for his local club in to seating chaos. If they where looking for a sell out I think a lot of people will think like my self they just don't want all the hassle and will not go.How I am thinking at the moment I will make a donation of my ticket price to one of the good causes that the money will be going to.

I haven't read this entire thread, but what about 'oh Georgie Berry' ? He's a regular visitor to the upper tier at The Brit & a top bloke he is to.
One of Stoke City's best ever penalty takers (if not THE best).
Oh Georgie Berry, Oh Georgie Berry !!

I recall watching from the Stoke End paddock as George nonchalantly strolled down the touchline in his crisp suit, saying to a couple of mates "what's he doing?!".....Only for him to clamber into the Boothen and lead the singing at his testimonial! A great night. Hopefully this will be an even better occasion.
