Pretty sure Sorensen is playing in Australia now and they're only a couple of months (ish) into their season Regular season is almost done here. Melbourne City currently 2nd. However, top 6 here have a play off system. Grand Final is due to be played May 1st so Tommy could play in the testimonial

Has Liam Lawrence been confirmed? Whilst clearly the occasion is about Wilko and his service to our club, it will be great to get the chance to say a proper "thanks and goodbye" to certain players who should have been granted at least that honour. Fuller, Simmo, Abdoulaye (love how Wilko refers to him as Abdoulaye my lord as well), Liam Lawrence and Rory Delap especially. I'll be there and am already looking forward to it. Might have to grant my little boy the day off school as well rather than come down for the West Ham game, go home, then come back again on the Monday night. EDIT - and Super Johnny Eustace one of my all time favourite Stoke City players.

Apparently Sorensen will be flying back for the game, providing he doesn't get given any media duties from his club in Australia. Great effort

I'm guessing SJW will play for both teams (at the same time). He did that against Chelsea a bit back

There was a Jonás Gutiérrez thread ironically right next to this thread (until I just posted on it) commenting on how badly The Toons had treated him. I post this to highlight the difference in class between the two clubs.

My son and I are coming over for the West Ham game, but I've just rebooked our returnflight so we can stay another day.
Any news on ticket sales?

Having glimpsed the BT vomit inducing coverage of the Noble testimonial the other day, one wonders if Wilko's send off will be accorded the same treatment..

I'll be shocked if it's even given news coverage barring radio Stoke. I'd be surprised if Radio Joke even bother, after all, there's no Crewe or Vale players involved (aside from Dicko).
