I see a lot of people moaning about no expansion but to be fair, if we had such good local fans as people make out then we'd sell out all the individual tickets too.
Clearly the fan base isn't big enough to warrant any expansion and Scholes has it spot on as usual.

According to the club other than the odd seat and obviously the away allocation we’ve sold out. The OS season tickets sold (over 40000) exceeds the capacity of the Boleyn. My Son registered the other week and was # 67,000!! In fact getting general sale tickets I can see being a problem for someone like me who can’t get to enough games to get value from a ST. I know there has been plenty of debate whether we would fill the original 54000 and I’m sure some of the initial momentum is “new stadium” but assuming we keep up the levels of football it’s looking likely we’ll be at new capacity 60000, straight away – we’ll see. There is still extra capacity available which I think they’re saving to trump Spurs in the "dick waving" stadium sizing thing. The trade off clearly is they’ll be a new crowd. We won’t be supporters – we’ll be customers in our new sanitised arena and it’ll take a while before it feels like home. So far as Stoke – the modest changes most of you want seem no-brainers. Built it and they will come and if they don’t come – your marketing people need sacking. Am I making a contribution to the extra 6,000 seats?

In a similar situation to the one stated earlier. Forced to move from the family stand but three seats together can't be found anywhere above the first couple of rows. Don't really fancy getting piss wet through in the rare chance of a drizzle all season so what can you do? Unbelievable really how short sighted the club are being, especially when you see clubs in similar situations to us such as West Ham progressing and building as a club off the pitch too. I think I am correct in saying that if you buy seats where you can get them at early bird rate, you will then (as ex Family stand members) get first dibs when the seat swap period opens (in a few weeks) once it is clear which 2015/16 season tickets have not been renewed. At that point several hundred (maybe a thousand or so) new seats will become available. If you haven't been told this do check with the ticket office ASAP. Matt (who sits next to me) and I were chatting about this at the last home game as it affected his father and brother a year or so back and that is what happened with them.

Royland - As you know WHU wanted to purchase the thing outright but (through no fault of their own) now find as anchor tenant of the Olympic Park they're the major reason the stadia, other resources and regeneration of the area will work.
If Stoke can't fill an extra couple of thousand seats or more through creative marketing, pricing - current levels of status I'd be amazed but maybe your owners are comfortable where they are?

They could sell the single tickets like singles holidays for lonely singles, and they might meet new and exciting people and maybe find romance.

Clearly the fan base isn't big enough to warrant any expansion and Scholes has it spot on as usual. We do sell out of the individual seats most games. Look at the numbers we've taken to Wembley and the Millennium Stadium, we have the fan base, we just need a bit of creative marketing to shift a few tickets every now and then, unfortunately that's something we're lacking.

How can games going out to the end of the season be sold out when we're told we give away thousands?
Amateur hour.

Theyre doing something involving junior football teams, I was told by a woman at work something about paying £7 and the kids get a top and a Jnr & Adult ticket (they didn't bother to go aswell)
Now commercially wouldn't it make sense to restrict this deal and provide tickets to full price paying fans ?

We are running a waiting list in case of any returns. #scfc I emailed Josh this morning to ask exactly this, there's not been a single ticket available on scfcdirect since last Thursday even though it was still saying low availability in a couple of blocks. The Sunderland and West Ham games are pretty much down to single seats only as well, still a few together on the front rows against Spurs with it being televised, midweek and category A. Good effort though..... Swansea have sold 900 odd I've just seen on one of their sites

The Chairman has already spoken on this subject, and I quote "We've already got several capital projects underway so won't be doing anything until the summer of 2017 at the earliest"

We need to create an action group that embodies the attitude of the club on this, how about the Stadium Corner Action Team.

Attacking the CEO is miss placed; I very much doubt he has anything other than an advisory role on capital expenditure (except for minimal amounts possibly), which will the decision of the Board, led by whatever PC decides.

IMO any decision on increasing capacity will depend on sales of next season tickets this summer. If they sell very well then subject to healthy attendances at the start of next season, the Board will make a decision to fill in a corner during summer 2017.
If the above scenario is repeated after a corner has been filled in then they may seek planning approval to fill in another corner.

Been down to renew today as I posted previously wed are s group of 5 people 2 adults and 3 juniors as they will be 14 we are to be evicted from the family stand. They offered us seats in block 19 row 2 thanks but no thanks. I have had a season ticket since the ground was built and that's how they reward loyalty. The priority seat exchange for supporters that have to move from the family stand is a farce. They are still kids at we absolute joke of a club that do not give a shit about loyal fans

Nah mate there anit no problem, we've got no demand for tickets, no-one isn't getting one who wants one, people just need to try harder, we're giving thousands away for free every game...
