An expensive option to buy a big summer striker. It suggests a well established striker. Dont think we are into that market yet, we need to "discover" a couple ourselves. Sparky and the scouting team have done well for us so far, early days but Imbula at £18m is already looking a bargain. Given his history I am sure he can spot a decent striker and am reasonably convinced he has an A list with strikers on it. Just waiting for the apples to drop, if you will pardon the phrase.

Batshuayi might be tempted, if we get a European spot, but the 'Ammers might do as well, or instead, and have the lure of the bright lights of Landin! We will look abroad - I feel we may go back in for Paul-Georges Ntep and that Barca B striker, Sandro Ramirez, who we looked at last year. No idea about the former but the latter is no better than what we have and would surely be a gamble?

When ive watched Berahino recently he hasn't even seemed very quick to me.. maybe he still isn't match fit. He isn't very quick anyway had has never been know for it - don't let the best scout on the oatcake fool you.

Berahino is very quick when fit, he's spent most of this season carrying a bit of extra timber though from what I can see. Needs a full pre-season and to be playing games...

Berahino is exactly the player we need. Young, quick, mobile, clinical finisher.
It's an investment, even at £30million. You keep him for 10 years or if he massively improves you sell him for bonkers money.

It basically says that West Brom have agreed in principle to sell Berahino to Spurs in the summer.

Most important signing we can make this summer. One of. He's no striker though! No, but he has the chance of scoring as many goals this season as any striker for us in the past has. He has shown since knuckling down in training early in the summer to be a hard working maverick - there are not many like him at all. As for signing a striker this summer, I'd like to see someone as fast as Diouf, who has a better touch and striking ability. Thing is, who out there is available and would want to join us who falls into that category?

His finishing actually I still think is pretty poor and when he has time it normally blazes over the bar! Fantastic player and will only get better. No idea but we're becoming an ever attractive proposition.

Yeah he's always done the leg work for the team; I remember someone stating on here he had made more challenges than Walters a couple of seasons ago and at the time being surprised. This summer though he has spent the extra time getting sharper, fitter and this has given him even more confidence to take the opposition on and score. Has there been a full back this season who has had the better of him? Keeping him will be exceptionally hard, but if we do and sign another top player then we could really be challenging for European football more consistently and potentially win a cup.

To be honest I'd be happy to persevere with Diouf.
He has 4 this season and has barely played in the position he should be playing.
He is more than capable of 12-15 a season at least given a good run in the team,I'm convinced. And if the likes of Bojan, Shaq and Arnie chip in that should be a decent return.

Someone with an upper body that doesn't resemble Matilda.
Joselu, Diouf, Bojan (false 9) and to an extent Walters get out muscled week in, week out.

Dzeko Bony Berahino Will all be on the radar I reckon. Chances of getting any of them? Slim to none I would have thought. Dzeko isn't doing all that good over here, he is in danger of moving into the bracket of "past it" IMO. Bony, I think has no motivation and has been destroyed by this big money move. I see him in China within 12 months. Berahino is interesting, but looks like Spurs have got him now. Attitude is the obvious issue with him. For me, Batshuayi is near perfect and just about affordable. We need a player who is fast, mobile, dynamic and can finish. Bony was like this, Lukaku is like this, Batshuayi is the next one like this.

This Aguero chap looks OK. Maybe a possible straight swap for Diouf. Come on Pep. You know it makes sense.
