Thanks to sports365 sending me an invite, I'm now watching footy on a stream with the quality of Sky Sports, as good as free streaming on sites like Bulldog, Phoenix, ptc sports is, paying a small amount to stream is a lot better. Glad you are happy with the service. I have more Invites available. Cheers

Seen it. All pissed off with some Anonymous app pinching their streams and taking credit!
Phoenix not part of the strike though

I've subscribed to starstreams but now it won't let me log in! Grrrrr. If you are trying to login on Kodi you need to go into the addons and search for smoothsteams it will come with two use the one called script then select configure then service change it to starstreams and put your login details. After doing that it will open as soon as you click the addon.

I just subscribed to streamtvnow via invite from sports365, it works really well on my laptop and smart tv via its web browser but I just can't get it working via Kodi. I've got the smoothstreams repo and I can see the schedule on it but when I try to watch anything it says login error user not found. I know I've typed it in correctly and the username and password combination works fine on the laptop and smart tv as stated. Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be.

That one doesnt work you need to add it as a app through the watch page on starstreams via a usb and if like mine its hit n miss so i watch it through my box through google exactly the same way as you would a web browser but on the watch page click watch on mobile you have to use the cursor on your remote and up n down buttons to get it work once youve done it a few times its a piece of cake.

You need to get the repo from the watch page. Then you'll get regular updates etc

Cheers I eventually got it sorted only to find it was crap compared to watching via the web browser on the smart tv. Really pleased with the quality of the streams. Some helpful contributions on this thread particularly from metalhead.

Good news for Kodi Users all the sports and Movie addons that were taken down recently due to their code being copied by third parties are now back up and running. However, you need to reinstall these addons to get them to work, the old ones will not update on their own.
Instructions below:-
Adrian
NJM
UK Turk
XO1000Sports
All these addons are included in a new Wookie build released a few days ago if you want a simple install.

this does all seem very laborious, do you constantly have to keep looking for add-ons/streams/updates etc etc or is it simply buy an Android box and away you go?

There are some "Builds" which do auto update, but eventually they will need someone with a little knowledge to update the Repo's that are either no longer supported, or just will not run on that version of Kodi or type of box anymore.

If I'd have know about the limitations I'd have gone for a box but I was told fire sticks were great! Do you know if I can download films and shows on to a pendrive via a box then watch them offline? Tried it with the stick but you still need an internet connection to access the downloads and I want to take it on holiday for the kids Dave,
You can download movies and Tv shows through Kodi using an android box or if you have it setup on your pc.
For a box you will need an additional storage device such as a pen drive or external hard drive. However, if you are in the market for the box the latest model the T8 AMR version 3s is setup for the installation of a sata hard drive actually within the box. Starts getting expensive at this point though as the box would cost £105 and then a sata hard drive probably another £60. You can get these from entertainmentbox.co.uk
You cannot download all streams as you might think. However, you are only able to download within certain addons. The best one at the moment is "Velocity". Its easy to download from this.
The first thing you must do is go into the Velocity addon and set your default download location ie the hard drive or pen drive that you have attached. Then all you have to do is choose what you wish to stream, follow the procedure as normal until you reach the page with the list of download links. Highlight the link you wish to choose then press your edit button. (three horizontal lines on android smart remote or right click on mouse). Open the edit button on the link which will then list the options, click add to download. It will then save the link to the download within the addon's files. You then need to go back into Velocity, select manage downloads, click the link you have saved and select download. Once done you will be able to play offline by navigating to the saved file on your storage device. At this point you can play it through Kodi or any other media player that you may have installed on your system.
It is a common belief that once you have saved a movie to a hard drive you have over stepped the line in relation to copyright offences.
This is the stuff that makes me think that kodi is not suitable for a technophobe like me!! Looks like I will have to continue being ripped off by sky!

Step 1 google kodi then download it. Step 2 google Phoenix for kodi and follow YouTube instructions. 5 mins job done. I've also got exodus on it. Great for films n tv shows.
