As the title says it will be sometime before we ,The Villa will be back unless we get you in the cups, so yesterday, The game, we huffed and puffed for a bit, conceeded a goal, heads down game over, yes we scored but that only gave the game an unrealistic scoreline, if you had been anywhere near your best it would and should of been many more ! I've stated on here many times this season how poor we are, well now you've seen it for yourselves we are truly shocking, no fight, no desire and no fucking idea ! The fans, gallows humour in bundles, but to be honest what else have we got ? We (the fans) have tried everything, vocal support at undeserved levels taking into account what we've been subjected to. Abuse after Wycombe whilst a bit over the top was fully deserved Abusing the owner in my opinion totally ineffective as the twat is never here Demo's again totally ineffective as as long as the cash is coming in they don't care The 'out of the door on 74' again in my opinion ineffective as we will be 'missing football' we've already paid for, I think turn your back on 74 for 1 min would be more of a statement ! So gallows humour it is As for Wilko the 'who r ya' was given and taken in jest he got a great ovation from our end The coin throwing, I didn't see it as I was at the back near the police platform, but totally out of order and as I've said every village has its idiots but worse we get more villages dispatch their idiots down the match ! I can only apologise on behalf of all genuine Villa fans for that So to sum up we're crap, we know we are but we will be back, not as soon as some think but we will return stronger and more like the proper football club we are, not the shambles currently masquerading as ASTON VILLA FOOTBALL CLUB Good luck for the rest of the season and beyond StaffsVilla PS. "Have you won the European Cup" ???

"Have you won the European Cup" ??? I remember that memorable first win at home to villa in that first home game back at this level. We celebrated like we'd won the league..This wasn't Wigan or Fulham but Aston Villa ,a top six side!! It's criminal what's happened to your club and shows how things can change if a club gets into the wrong hands. I genuinely hope you can get back soon, even if it means taking another step back like Southampton had to. All the best.

It's a shame if you go.....history, size and all that, but it's a lesson to us all about the value of sound ownership. Whatever happens, all the best and let's hope that if you do go down, when you come back up we are still in the Premier League waiting for you..no one should ever be complacement.

Villa are a proper club and even though I'm glad they're going down because it's funny, I hope you bounce straight back up again. Local, fellow founder members, big club with good support and loads of history.

Your fans apart from 1 or 2 morons (probably) were a credit to your football club yesterday

Must be hugely frustrating for you having an invisible owner you can't complain to, and no control over the situation.
You've always kept your dignity and sense of humour, which is commendable in the circumstances. I hope you see some positive action over the summer and can go into next season with some hope of a renaissance.

You're a credit to your club Staffs the way you conduct yourself on hear is admirable. Must be.hard coming on hear knowing you'll probably get some ribbing. I for one hope you bounce back as your a good club and think you will. But it may get worse before it gets better. What do you think will happen when the inevitable happens? A firesale and try to do it with youngsters? I'd like us to go back for Traore as though raw has hot talent. 90k a week though is crazy. I think this may be a problem if your looking to shift dead wood too. I feel for Gard as he comes across a broken man a bit like Ramsey last year. Like Ramsey I think he's carrying the can for the previous manager,

We've done the relegation party stuff, black humour, In reality the uncertain future hurt like hell. You've been here before 80's? Just hope you don't end up like Leeds

The summer for Aston Villa will be a massive one. They desperately need a manager and a group of players who know how to get out of the Championship. If not, they'll be fighting it out with the likes of Leeds for many seasons to come I would imagine.

Didn't Garde say that he was staying on even if you do get relegated? Would that be a good thing?
Lerner's approach is odd. Apparently he's wanted to sell for a good while now but has somehow slowly overseen bad decision after bad decision. Or not overseen if he's always absent! Very little investment is pushing Villa into the Championship so now trying to sell the club without Premier league status makes it even more unattractive.

It's amazing to think that if Derby don't get promoted there will be five clubs in the second tier next season who've won the title in my lifetime... and two of them have won the European Cup!

Great turnout from the Villa fans yesterday.... And Villa's demise can be traced back to that 2-2 draw that Stoke had at Villa when Martin O'Neill was in charge Had O'Neill been given the investment at that time then we could be talking about a top four club. I also recall that despite their then top six placing O'Neill was receiving a lot of stick from his own fans - which seemed unjustified?

Appoint Nigel Pearson, you'll finish top 6 I reckon and have a chance of coming straight back up. Loads of midlands derbies, Wolves, Blues, Derby, Forest and probably Burton and Walsall. It might not seem like it now but I reckon you'll enjoy it. Football will be fun again.

Hate them bluenoses and anybody connected with Trevor Francis. Would like to see Villa bounce back and Brum stay down. Always decent banter with our fans. Good luck for next season. You will need it!.

Get Gary Neville when Valencia get rid of him, he would fit much better at an English club.
BTW could you see your way clear to taking Arsenal down with you =)

I think any one who supports any club, that has been relegated, knows how devastating it is for any other supporters. So I take no delight in any one else getting relegated, except, maybe , if it happened to Arsenal, even then I would have a bit of sympathy.

May be your last visit to the Brit for a while staffs but hope we'll still see you on here. We've had plenty of opposition fans become regulars on here but very few that are as level headed and honest about their own club as yourself. Shame to see Villa go...good club, good fans but a desperate shame to see it being run into the ground by a bloke who's so far removed from the passion ingrained into the sport and the fans from the local area. Good luck in the Championship and i 100% agree with momo in that i think you'll be surprised to find out how much more fun the ups and downs of the "lower leagues" can be.

All the best Staffs Villa, it will be a sad sad day no doubt about it but hopefully you will bounce back! And don't forget to pop back on here every now and then if you can, always like reading your posts as you seem very level headed and one of the good guys! I cant imagine how it feels at the moment watching your lot perform as they did yesterday, must be heartbreaking but much credit to the support as they were magnificent! All the best for next season

Lots of local games as Sheik said, plus the likes of Leeds and Sheff Weds (if not promoted via play offs) will ensure a few good days out supporting players who want to give a damn, and put the enjoyment back into it. Walsall v Villa Burton v Villa sounds strange for league matches

It must be hard being a Villa fan these days. I expect you will go down but I hope you get a quick return as it has been my experience that Villa fans are very genuine.
What goes around comes around and just as Stoke have returned to the top flight after many years in the wilderness, I'm sure your time will come again. I lived in Birmingham in the 1960s and witnessed at first hand Villa sinking to the old Division 3, again after a dynasty of poor ownership and management. Even though Villa went into the 3rd division they continued to enjoy a huge loyal support, commanding gates of well over 20,000 and matching 1st Division sides. Fans would come flooding back for successful cup runs.

We've been where staffsvilla is at an even lower level so we can empathise totally.
I'm not a villa fan but I was disgusted on their behalf just watching agbonlahor stroll around the pitch like he didn't want to be there.
To think he's a villa fan as well. Disgusting really. Just like ours didn't all those years ago, that group of players don't deserve the support they get.
