If Sheikh Salman al-Khalifa wins, then given his human rights record, I hope Europe just walks away from FIFA. If the Sheikh wins then we would be swapping Blatter for someone who is probably even worse. If Europe did opt out they might be joined by much of North and Central America (CONCACAF) and a few others such as Australia and New Zealand. Let the rest of the world carry on ruining the game if that is what they want.

Sexwale withdraws! Didn't see that coming. He's a bloody good speaker though. If you know you're not going to win and it will be tight between the two front runners, then it makes sense to withdraw and get your supporters to support your favourite of the two front runners. I'm just wondering if there is truly no more corruption, then maybe none of the delegates will vote in protest over the lack of brown envelopes!

Looks like we should prepare ourselves for a future World Cup consisting of 40 nations across several countries rather than one.

Gianni Infantino who worked under Platini since 2009 and comes from 6 miles away from Blatter's home town. Change.

Remember Infantino from our days in the Europa League when I watched him conducting the draws on the very obscure UEFA tv channel. Unless memory is playing tricks he was quite complimentary about us. I actually think he'll do a very decent job of reforming FIFA and god knows it really does need reforming.

If you think change is coming within the ranks of FIFA, then be prepared to be VERY disappointed.

Am I right in thinking he,genuinely, is a reform candidate? Good news? Lord Triesman was a panelist on SSN this afternoon and he said he thought he was but he wasn't sure that one man could do it and that FIFA maybe beyond saving by anybody.

They've already made changes this afternoon, the money has taken out of the FIFA presidents hands and is now the responsibility of the General secretary's office.
The FIFA presidents job is now more of an ambassador role.
