We've definitely found our Nzonzi replacement.
Only this lad looks like he has the potential to be better.
He bossed it today.Totally.

I'll admit, I had massive reservations about spending this kind of money in the january window however, having seen him twice now, Ive not decided yet, whether he will be our Yaya Toure or Patrick Vierra but, he'll be a modern day version of one of them I'm pretty sure of that Hudson esque with regards to making space, and accuracy of passing.

Debut goal. As in first goal scored by him in the Prem. A debut goal would have to be scored on his debut, which was last week. A debut is the first appearance or performance. It was simply Imbula's first goal for Stoke City. Not at all a debut is when someone presents something for the first time also.Eg he presented us with his first goal.

Imbula cam !
Somebody has to find a way of following his every move ! he has his faults but fuck me , what a player we have on our hands here, keep him happy and we will have a superstar that is hard to replace. His composure is better than nzonzi , his 15yard drive forward is as good as any centre mid I've seen this season , if he chips in with goals too ! Well ! We have found ourselves an absolute monster

A reaction goal, the ball wasn't supposed to get to him. Most footballers would scuff it sheer technique and a bit of power. More please.

He didn't hang about getting his first goal, and it was a corker to boot. Liked what I've seen of him so far, little though it is.

I know this is early in his Stoke career but Natalie was outstanding today, I thought replacing Fonzy was a hell of a job but this kid has it all I just hope he goes from strength to strength.

IMHO much better than Nzonzi. When Imbula receives the ball his first thought is to turn and face and go forward. A cracking player.

He's like a carbon copy of a young Patrick Vieira, going to be a massive hit by the looks of it. Makes it look easy, them bursts forward and quick quality passing spreading the play with one touch are refreshing to see in a stoke shirt. His strides take him past players without sprinting and he's a big presence
We'll be lucky to keep this guy beyond 2 seasons if his first 2 games are anything to go by, I can all ready smell arse wenger

He just plays so much like Yaya Toure for me..even strolls around like him. When he gets the ball and goes into full flow he looks unstoppable

Very impressed today when we had possession. Starting to slot into his role in the team.
Needs to work next on team shape when we are defending.
A more than promising couple of games.

He won the most amount of defensive aerial duels yesterday.
Big deal you say!
But it's something that we haven't had in the middle of the park since Fonz left and it does take a burden off the centre backs.
And it's great to see.
His goal is lovely, he glides around the pitch, he looks a hell of a player!
