managers/footballers/ pundits opinions on ticket pricing sit about as well on me as rock stars/ celebrities/comedians asking me to give when red nose day/children in need comes around.
Do us all a favour and allow us to make up our own minds about it. When your wages are similar to mine I might be tempted to listen to your opinions.
So next time you get asked a classy response of "no comment" might be a better option.

Just messing, that's a fair point you make, I guess it has to be weighed up to the individual concerned. If someone with a salary of 8 million (wenger) is asked about whether or not £60 is too much for a ticket I'm quite sure he's not really going to get a grasp of how much of a decision that can be for some people.

Watching question time last night (nowt else on) summed it up for me, with the steel industry goin down the pan and junior doctors goin on strike over pay, a little old lady asked a politician how he could justify their 16 per cent....yes 16 fuckin per cent (about 10 grand a year i think)pay rise....he squirmed for a while and said he would be giving most of his pay rise to charities...absolute bollocks!!! everybody is feathering their own nest and don't give a fook, so why shud a football chairman give a fook about their supporters!!

I personally have no problem with MP's receiving a 16% payrise when you consider a "bang average" Premier League footballer can earn £30k+ per week

Agreed - the people you mentioned in your OP - managers/footballers/pundits - don't have to worry about whether their ticket would cost £40 or £80, or whether their car service cost £300 or £600, but for most of us that's the difference between being able to do it or not. I dream of the day when I can call an electrician out to do some work and it doesn't bother me whether it costs £100 or £200.

And yet we all seem interested about Uncle Peter's views on ticket prices.

And yet we all seem interested about Uncle Peter's views on ticket prices. Slightly different because the only reason I'd be interested in pcs opinion is because he will decide what us stokies will be paying for the next few years. If he was another chairman I wouldn't care less

It's the ones who probably haven't paid for ticket for decades who really piss me off.

What is rich, somebody who pays most of his money back to the government,or someone who has worked his nuts off from nothing and has become comfortable but still has to work 60 hours a week, usually those who moan about the so called rich are them who pissed around at school ,expect the state to look after them, moan there's know jobs locally instead of looking further a field.I don't think ticket prices should rise, but just because I am comfortable thru hard work and others who keep others in work carnt have there say.If it was not for the so called rich paying over the top for corporate boxes your tickets would be higher .

I personally have no problem with MP's receiving a 16% payrise when you consider a "bang average" Premier League footballer can earn £30k+ per week If you take the insane Premier League footballers' wages as a yardstick for anything in the 'real world', you're going to end up thinking bankers and CEOs are underpaid... Personally I'm appalled by the total lack of empathy and sensitivity shown by MPs in voting themselves big pay increases while filthy rich Government ministers slash pay and benefits for those desperately struggling to make ends meet. Especially when you think that an MP's salary is only their basic pay...add on expenses, pay increases if you hold a committee or ministerial position and the vast amounts of cash they can rake in from corporations etc as 'advisors' or 'consultants' in exchange for becoming their trained lapdogs in Parliament. Anyway, rant over... Back on topic, I agree with the original poster, though I will give credit to TP for his recent comments: West Brom manager Tony Pulis told BBC Radio 5 live that clubs have "enough money to subsidise" tickets and need to ensure they are not "milking" supporters. He suggested away fans should only pay £10 to ensure the atmosphere at grounds matched that inside the "fantastic" stadiums in Germany. "We have to give something back," said Pulis. "My chairman will probably never speak to me again after saying this."

Thanks for that Daily Mail Editorial A rant about people making assumptions about rich people, based on assumptions about people on low incomes!!!Nice work! The only person I know who has a corporate box pays about 1% income tax. I know that for a fact because I work for them. So while he may be contributing to cheaper tickets (debatable?) he's probably contributing to me having to pay higher taxes, even though he earns over 100 times more than I do. The state certainly looks after him!

Whete is the cut-off point in earnings then? Am i allowed an opinion on £80k? You're allowed an opinion, but that doesn't mean you're the best person person to ask. Most people who want to go to a game of football don't have access to that level of disposable income and those are the people who this debate is about.
