Really awkward position to be in. Do you risk playing Shawcross when half fit going into a break? Or do you leave him out, get dicked, but have a fitter Shawcross in two weeks?
(Joking aside, as long as we've been taught how to defend this week, I'd rest him and take a wobbly 0-0)

Like a bit of both but crouch would confuse the hell out of the Bournemouth defense.

Actually think we will give them a bit of a thrashing.
The stars are aligned and we will be in our famous all-white strip.

Not what we wanted to hear. Both him and Cameron are badly missed.

With a two week break coming up, you can understand our not risking Ryan this weekend. Those fit to play at the back need to start putting in a better shift then.

Agreed, only seems sensible to give Ryan longer, with a two week break coming up anyway. Back 4 need to step up and show some pride in the jersey, and get back to keeping clean sheets, like we used to. Quite hopeful of our attacking threat, especially given the Bojan contract boost. Let's stick a few in the back of the net eh boys !! Probably Joselu rather than Diouf up front judging from his Everton 'no-show'

It's the first time in god knows how many games he's played in his best position and everyone was wank other than Imbula, but diouf gets the no-show....!!

Fair point I was just thinking of his previous performances too, though admittedly they have been mostly sub roles, and when placed on the wing too. I worry about his state of mind following his family tragedy, but Hughes would know better than me

He has to keep Doofy in that forward role and persevere with it, the goals will come.

Unfortunately I agree with many of the other posts....id be surprised if we come away with anything. Can't score, can't defend. Hope they prove me wrong.

The injuries to Ryan and Geoff have dragged on and I'm amazed that with these apparent "wait and see maybe back next week." type injuries we bought no one in.
Lets just hope that Muni and Wolli try and make up for the catastrophe v Everton. Thankfully we wont be facing Lukaku again but massive improvement needed.

Though they're no Lukaku, the pace of King and Afobe is a worry vs Phil and Muni. Let's hope we sit deep and counter and not risk getting stretched all over the park

The prospect of Muni at centre back trying to martial Afobe is terrifying. Howe will have seen videos and will know exactly what to do.

This has to be a game where we can shine, show flair, skill, and stop the rot. A very inconsistent season, we need to attack, but not just attack, we actually need to create and convert goal scoring opportunities. I'd prefer 3 - 3 than 0 - 0 AWAY WIN ;-)

Bad news about Ryan.. But definitely a good move not to rush him back...
All I want is a clean sheet.. Anything else would be a bonus.. I think they will come at us so I'd play
Jack
Johnson, Wolly, Muni, Erik
Whelan, Afellay,
Imbula
Annie, Bojan, Shaq
