And there hangs the dilemma. The Premier League was the holy grail. It took us 16 years to achieve it and having done that we fought and scratched and kicked like wildcats to maintain it. Now we've become a bit complacent, it's ok to say we hate Sky and the Murdoch Empire of Evil but where would the Premier League be without him? And more importantly where would we be without the Premier League and would we like it? Careful what you wish for springs to mind . It's all very well to blame sky for all that's wrong with football but it's worth remembering we receive £100 m next season from them That's kind of what I was trying to say

Fair play to Malcolm and co. yet again.
Underneath it all.....the sickening wages, corrupt agents and mega media overlords.....football is still our game. The supporters.
Maybe campaigns like this are doomed to fail but it's genuinely heart warming to know proper fans are looking out for other proper fans.
Great work.

This is what is needed IMO. Mass boycott of a massive weekend of football like Easter or the opening game of the season. Imagine the horror on the faces of Murdoch et al.......all the money they have showered on PL clubs to provide entertainment and the grounds are empty. No atmospher, no nothing just the hollow sound of boot on ball and a few shouts from players and the dug outs. The goose that lays the golden egg would not be pleased. Would you really like them to withdraw their funding LL No Harry definitely not but and its a big BUT........the fans are an integral part of the TV entertainment and should be given a bigger slice of the cherry by vastly reducing ticket prices. Twenty's plenty is a start but it's a shame that twenty and plenty rhyme because twenty is far too much given the money falling like confetti on PL clubs. It's a certainty that the extra money next season and after will be hoovered up by players inflated transfer fees, wages and agent fees. I would like to see the FA & PL take a much bigger role in where the TV money goes. Even Wenger stated last week that fans shouldn't expect ticket price reduction but be prepared for increases because of the spiralling transfer and wage demands.

Apparently Everton are the only club to agree to the £30 cap, let alone the £20 one. We've got a very long way to go yet.

It's a great shame lawrie as you say that this amazing amount of money coming into premier league clubs isn't being put to better use . It could be a force for great good instead of being hoovered up by players and there agents
