I heard the Adrian Chiles interview yesterday with the "accused" and his solicitor. The speed that they went past each other caught on CCTV was something like half a second. She looked at the CCTV in court and said that it wasn't her...it was.
Wonder if she's got previous?

Problem lies with the police and CPS not taking action against known celebrity sex offenders in 70s and 80s. They have been drawn over coals for this over the last few years. So now to try and redress the balance they take every accusation and allegation at face value and investigate it to the nth degree. Accused men are named in the hope of others saying "oh yes he did that to me as well" and coming forward to make statements further "building the evidence" against him. Read "No Further Action." By Jim Davidson and it will open your eyes to what is going on to get innocent men to court. As Davidson says, no further action or all charges dropped does not exonerate anybody and only a not guilty verdict in court will do this. It's a disgrace IMO and the whole policy of historical sexual abuse investigations needs urgent review to protect genuinely innocent men. Not wishing to spoil the book but Davidson stated on numerous occasions that the two police officers from operation YewTree did not believe that he had committed any of the offences but had pressure put on them by their superiors who in turn were being hounded by CPS to find evidence to bring Daviidson to court.

That suggest that the thread title is correct. This case took the best part of a year to resolve and no apology from the CPS.

I've told this story before.
I had a soldier arrested and bailed on a rape charge. Just before it went to court another soldier provided mobile phone footage that it was consensual sex 100%
The woman dropped her claim the police dropped the charges
They said it wouldn't be in the public interest to Persue a case against the woman.
In my opinion false rape claims is every bit as vile as rape and the sentences should be similar

They never apologise hiding behind "evidence was credible" and in the instance of the bloke who made allegations of a VIP paedophile sex ring involving high ranking government officials and military leaders, the police even went as far as to say the accusations were "credible and true". I'm not trying to suggest that CPS hate all men just that a bit of common sense should prevail when rediculous and outlandish allegations are made. Not jump in with both feet at the first hint of a sex abuse claim.

Shock horror. Wonder how many women have taken a rapist to court and the lowlife has got away with it? Ten months ago, Adam Johnson denied underage sex charges - today he's pleaded guilty to grooming on the Internet and sex with the girl, knowing she was 15yrs old. Earlier this week a dozen Asian men were jailed for raping and sexually exploiting a 13 yr old girl. Where was your outrage then? The CPS endeavour to get it right and suggesting it's against men is ridiculous.

I think the clue is they believed a guy could walk past a woman in a 0.50 second period of time with one hand on a strap of his backpack and a newspaper in the other and manage to shove his hand up her coat, down her leggings and stick 3 fingers up her. Id be outraged about that if some old bat accused me of that.

The clue is in the selectivity actually, one situation doesn't make the CPS men haters or, more importantly, women and children persistent liars. Thousands of women and children of both gender report rape and lack of proof prevents the case going to court but it doesn't mean it didn't happen - that's outrageous.

The way the system has dealt with the situation in Rochdale, Rotherham etc. is disgusting, at least with Johnson he has been dealt with within a sensible time frame, he and all sex offenders and paedophiles should be castrated and branded in my opinion along with any one who has been guilty of covering up for these perverts, however when it is obvious that no crime has been committed but has been reported the individual should be prosecuted and their identity exposed.

It's a bit reactionary to suggests that the CPS "hates men". Show me any one case like this and I'll show you a dozen where some nasty bloke has literally got away with murder.
That said, clearly this naming thing doesn't work. I can see the reasoning behind it but it's too open to abuse, and the poor sod in question here has been very badly treated. Perhaps the solution is for BOTH the accused and the accuser to be given anonymity until a verdict is reached.

I've made a subtle correction - just so you understand that men can be victims too.
This case isn't about lack of proof though is it? The video evidence shows clearly no crime was committed or had the slightest opportunity to be committed. There were no witnesses - in the middle of the country's busiest train station in rush hour, and the 'victim' couldn't identify the defendant. The prosecution appears to be nothing more than a politicised and malicious attempt at perverting justice.
Rape and other sexual crimes against anyone is abhorrent, but the authorities and some of the feminist movement need to realise that every false accuser - like the woman in this case - hinders and harms the real victims of those horrible crimes.

If you think anyone is defending that scum you're wrong.
