why? plent of access from the A500 whiledon road area We're in a completely different era of Health & Safety, Road access & Traffic capacity than when the Vic was built. With the local housing, the electricity sub station thing and the A500 running right along side it you've got no chance. why? plent of access from the A500 whiledon road area You wouldn't get permission to build a 10,000 capacity stadium on that site, never mind one 3-4 times that size. You've not been to Arsenal's Emirates stadium then, or not seen tottenham's and Chelsea's new stadium proposal's? Arsenal is squeezed in between train lines to 2 sides, houses and roads all around, no real car parking, Spurs and Chelsea are surrounded by existing roads and houses. There is far more spare land not too far away from the old vic area that could be utilised, where there's a will, there's a way

You haven't even got to extend the concorse. All you need to do is basically build a tunnel from the family stand to the booth end/John Smiths corner. Brick wall along the grass bank, and edge of the car park behind the boothen. Joing a roof to the stadium. Two big gates either end of the tunnel that get closed at 3.10. Like somebody else said have a toilets and they've already got catering outlets. Everybody at half time can be undercover and relatively warm.

I thought it had just been agreed to put a railway station up at the Brit. So this is just a hypothetical conversation relocating from the Brit is not actually going to happen is it?

The Brit railway station is just an item on a council wish-list, a long, long way from being agreed. But I'm sure there's no chance of moving back down the hill either.
