Evening all, I was wondering how many people like myself view this board on a regular basis but never actually post?
I've been coming to this site for years and signed up to become a member on 21/01/10 (something must have really annoyed me that day to warrant signing up as I obviously intended on breaking my duck?)
Historically I have viewed the board as I've found it a funny, entertaining news souce. I'm now starting to question whether that is still the case? The growing number of posters on here with ridiculous polar opposite views seems to be on the rise and it often seems like a school playground on here.
I find that threads started by posters with insightful thoughts, suggestions and tactical football knowledge get ruined by bickering and non topic related arguments.
So... If you've never posted before maybe chuck a like on here or maybe even comment. This may possibly tease out some more level headed people lurking in the background and then collectively drown out the nonsense posts with some sense. I think I'm also going to post more often - Maybe I'll talk bollocks too.
This certainly isn't intended as a rant at the vast majority of existing posters and hope I haven't caused offence. If I have, I'll fuck off up the Vale.
P.s i'm still not sure why I signed up that day. Maybe still bitter about Cresswell being sold earlier that window. Cheers

Like you I watch and rarely post and have done for a few years.
Generally speaking I like the discussion but it gets a bit tiresome when we lose a few. It does seem to bring out more of the negative posters lately than it used to but I suppose that's a sign that there's more fans now.
Mind you it is a message board on the internet so I suppose the prerogative is there to have a rant or a moan. I've just learned to block out the nonsense and bickering that gets posted.

It's the same on almost every forum on the internet OP, regardless of subject leaning.
The keyboard warriors, who wouldn't say boo to a goose out in the real world, troll at every opportunity. Stating opposing opinions is fine, everyone is entitled to one, but posting argumentative crap looking to wind people up without even expressing an opinion is taking the piss as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers Would you be amenable to chairing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission? I too lurked for a while before posting, never looked back. I only visit for the Music, the SCFC bonhomie, the 3-5-2, and to occasionally milk the venom from Pwingy's virtual fangs. It's a hoot.

Cheers I been reading it since day one but only recently plucked up the courage. Carry on I reckon, most posters have been sound with me even when I make myself sound like a bit of a plonker. The only downside is that my lady thinks I'm having an affair. On the plus side though my lady thinks I'm having an affair! !!

Cheers You should post more, especially if you have well rounded opinions - the world needs more of them in general. I think the large majority on here like an exchange of views. There are 1 or 2 who troll the boards who like to call you names or drag you over the coals just because your opinion does not resemble theirs - but on the whole it is generally a pleasant experience

Do the RSPCA know you've broken a Duck =)
You should post more , that's what this forum is supposed to be, fan's views , whatever they are giving people an idea of what other people think and how differently we see things.
PS What is the Duck's name =)

At first I used to get upset when someone disagreed with me (especially when they're insulting) but now I'm used to it. I get stuff wrong all the time but it doesn't matter because it's anonymous. I must admit I have learned a lot from this board and even changed my opinion. So have at it. Just watch out because it can be addictive and a big time waster! One more thing on insults. I didn't care for Margaret Thatcher or her policies but she did have a way with words. To paraphrase "when some counters you with insults you know their argument is weak or non-existent".

I didn't get where I am today by engaging in insightful thoughts, suggestions and tactical football knowledge.
That's the ugly duckling that prevented the goose from laying the golden egg.
