I feel bad for the guy because nothing has gone for him this year, he should probably start fresh next season now. But is he worth 10 million based on his performances from last season? I think not. Seems like we'll just have to make do with Joselu, Bojan & Walters for the remaining games. Diouf just does't look up for it & neither does Crouch, to be honest.

Needs just a run of games. Hughes rotates the strikers so much that nobody can get any momentum going. Doesn't help that we create fuck all as well.

Or when he does start him he plays him on the wing.

Can you name a striker of Diouf's approximate age who has scored double figures in the Premier League in the last five years or so who would go for much less than 10m quid? It's about the going rate

He had two blokes on him every time he went for a challenge. They did a number on him. Nothing from the ref every time
Now right or wrong he gets up and cracks on. What he should be doing is giving it the ala Barkley/Rooney/terry/Gerard etc example and start moaning to the ref, getting in his head. That's how we get the descisions.
Sometimes our players are too nice

Diouf was one of the only positives for me. Didn't pull up any trees but was far sharper than I expected him to be. Time to give him a run of games on his natural position, the goals will come

It's scandalous that Hughes has failed to bring in a forward.

It's scandalous that Hughes has failed to bring in a forward. When you're a forward starved of service what other option have you got other than to "run around a lot"? The last run of games he had was at the end of last season/start of this season where both his form and goal scoring record as excellent. People assume he's had some kind of fall out, maybe just maybe he's been going through personal turmoil and Hughes has tried to manage this. He needs games and he needs confidence, to write him off when history tells us he's more than capable just baffles me to be honest......

You're asking this after one of the worst performances of the season. Expect skewed feedback

No he's not. And it's disrespectful to talk about our top scorer like that when he has proven what a good striker he can be. Stick to bad mouthing your own fans away followings that seems to be more up your street.....

I feel sorry for Mame. He's not played much this season due to horrific circumstances. When he has played he's played on the wing, a position he's totally unsuited for. He gets played up front in a team that Alan Shearer in his heyday would struggle in and he gets slagged off. We do not play to his strengths at all.
Move the ball quicker, get some decent crosses in and play the ball down the sides of the centre halves. Then you will see the best of him.

There was two occasions in the first half where the ball was crossed into relatively good areas, he never read or attempted to get in front of his man on both occasions.
I really wanted him to shove two fingers up at Hughes yesterday but he failed miserably but he's our only genuine threat, massive overall required in the summer but sadly we've given contract extensions to players meaning the owners won't release funds.

I pay my money to go home and away, I can state my opinion on whatever I like , and I think hes a sorry excuse for a football player , who once thrived on effort alone, thats disapeared so theres nothing left.he ll be gone in summer with any luck.

Diouf's main weakness is that he doesn't read the game. It true that we are creating little, but there were several occasions yesterday when a midfielder had the ball but none of the forwards were in a position to receive it. What is worse is that they were all standing still.

Strange....i presume you went home and away last season as well but don't recall you saying he was a "sorry excuse fora footballer" when he was scoring more in 1 season than any other forward of ours has. Is he a sorry excuse for a footballer or you just a sorry excuse for a fan who has a short memory,no respect for our players or fans and can't understand that maybe, just maybe the fact that he's had a tragedy ridden season where he's also barely played in his own position might be the reason for his downturn in form? He's a human being not a fucking robot! Sad when any club has fans like you really

Not a striker in the world would have scored with the service we gave him yesterday! If we don't create anything how can we score?

If we would of played a similar style to what Everton played yesterday Diouff would of had a field day. They realised our defence isn't the quickest and we play a high line, so they just played a simple ball behind our defence and let Lukaku and Lennon and Cleverley run riot

Diouf was terrible yesterday, the bloke wasn't even making any runs whatsoever, wasn't running in behind or into any space, and with the pace he has that's criminal.
