wtf is happening to Leslie's brain?? The first requirement of any football manager at any level is, GRIP - this week it feels like he's totally lost that. A week in which we've wrecked our GD, thrown away at least 3 points and totally failed to justify the decision to field a very weakened side v Palace to concentrate on th league. Also I won't get dry for a week and neither will my chair We were slightly less dire second half, I guess, so it's a 3*

2* - he didn't sign an adequate replacement for Huth, and it is coming back to bite us today. Weak in defence, Ineffective and slow in the midfield and no spark up top. No tempo or cutting edge when we had the ball, and we rolled over today without so much as a whimper.

5. Picked the right team to do the job imo . Should've brought on Joselu & Ireland sooner but the defenders were simply shocking today. Don't get the Odemwingie sub though. Was it simply to indicate how pissed off he was at Shaq & Arnie?

4 for the back line and 4 for the "attacking line".

What are we evaluating here Sal, the manager's choice of personnel or the result of the match? He absolutely fielded our best possible starting eleven today in my humble opinion. How do you think he should have set us up differently?

It's the lack of secure defensive routines, AGAIN, the inabiloity to stop the opposition playing, AGAIN - either it's not happening right on the training ground or it's not travelling from Clayton Woods to the Brit.

4 for the back line and 4 for the "attacking line". That was the only available backline & the front 4 is what everyone in the forum has been suggesting for the past few weeks. The first 11 was best 11 he could've picked. Some would argue that Bojan should've played but Hughes wasn't going to risk another player who isn't bothered with tracking runners. The problem came with the Odemwingie sub, which I don't get. Shaqiri looked like the only player who was willing to take on his man. Arnautovic should've come off instead.

Exactly and for this reasons, i don't give 0 to both . Is inacceptable for a team that wants to go in Europe, not to score a goal in 600+ minutes. Btw i agree with u

I came to the game expecting nothing and I wasn't disappointed.
Felt kinda sorry for imbula cos he looked decent. The rest however were dreadful.

I'm struggling. I can't argue with the starting line up but it's what happened after that. Defensive line was ludicrous considering the pace they have and how slow our back 4 are. Once again we created Jack shit. Just what is going on down Clayton woods in the week?? Free kicks, corners and throw ins.. we simply have no idea what to do. The contract situation with arnie needs resolving. Either sign it or piss off. We need a result at Bournemouth. I don't care how we do it we need 3 points and lift the spirits.

Don't you think there seems to be a significant correlation in our prowess at the back and whether Ryan is available for selection? I don't think you can lay our inability to defend (specifically today) purely at the door of Sparky's methods on the training ground.

Not relating to this game in particular but I really don't understand why, by Feb , he doesn't appear to have a clue as to what constitutes our best attacking line-up.

I totally get that the buck stops with the manager, regardless. I hung Pulis out to dry on that particular point several times. Whatever you think of his selection today we were fucking wank from start to bastard finish.
So Hughes can have a fucking 4 for his selection of his first eleven and then his quite fucking baffling sub decisions!
The team get a fucking zero the spineless useless cunts!
Just to clarify this has fuck all to do with Robert Huth leaving you bunch of cockwipes.

It is the bollocks he drops in signings that he makes that have lead to our defensive problems, our motivation elsewhere need to be questioned they look like they don't give a shit, disgraceful performance again this is not just a blip now.

One way or the other Sparky will be accountable. The players have their jobs to do .... they are not doing it at the moment. But it will always be the manager who pays the price or takes the flak ... rightly or wrongly.

H If it has fuck all to do with selling Huth it certainly has a hell of a fucking lot to do with not signing an adequate replacement, and that is down to the manager and no one else the rest I agree with his selection with what he has at his disposal was on paper as good as it could be, it is what he has at his disposal that concerns me they are either not good enough or don't give a flying fuck.

Paul tbh I almost added 'it can't all be down to Ryan's absence' = you're right, he's been massive this season especially and it does feel like we have to play out of our boots to compensate when he's out, and if we don't then today happens - but that was two perfectly sound CBs on the pitch today and sad to say this isn't a new injury for Ryan, Sparky's had the time to rehearse the rest in. I'm specially gutted for Ryan today, finally getting Woy to the Brit and he's out injured. He has the worst luck and never complains about it.

5. Tough one this, he put out a decent looking side would have liked the subs to come earlier but at 3-0 down whats the point when we haven't got whats needed on the bench, but saying that, taking the width off killed anything we had.
Some still seem to be judging him off player performances and not what he actually does himself.

Do you think Hughes has failed today then because he should have been able to have 'coached' Wollscheid and Muniesa more effectively?
