Free pac a macs all round that should do the trick.... They give them out at man city and Arsenal - that being imo the best stadium in the country - so all this is bollocks about improving the ground, some folk would still get wet no matter what, unless it had a roof, and even then someone would get wet as one of the posters has said "he has a leak on the back of his seat", must be some kind of pre game ritual? Increase in ticket prices for ground improvements, no ta, not for me, free advice, it's raining put a friggin coat on...........btw, said from row 8 We are a premier league football club now,in a better financial state than we have ever been, surely we should have a stadium that doesn't have a force 10 gale ripping through it everytime there is a bit of wind about? I agree that no matter how sheltered the stadium is people will still get wet at the front, but my gripe is that there is no way on gods earth that our players enjoy playing in that shit pretty much every home game through the winter months and their are times when it has completely ruined the match as a spectacle. In my opinion it's embarrassing when you see the ball regularly blowing about like a balloon that's been untied and let go.

Yeh Everton were shite weren't they. I didn't think Everton were anything special. Defended well (although we didn't take much stopping) and had a couple of decent breaks but aside from that, I didn't see much that impressed me. That's an indication of how poor we were today, but let's not try to pretend Everton looked like Barcelona. Barkley's a decent player, but most of what they do revolves around lumping it up to Lukaku. They're not massively dissimilar to Fuller-era Stoke. fucking hell, theres a sentence that you don't see very often "Everton defended well"

Why history backs my assumption,I was lucky to be around in the 70s and I was close to the club then, the club spent top whack on players, the city had full employment and the people still did not support the team on a regular bacis, maybe it was because we had a big open end and it rained some match days,we have 15000 never say die fans no more take the first 10 rows out and give the ground back to the Stoke fans not the premiership fans. Your post was a ridiculous assumption because you were suggesting that the people on this thread who are moaning about our ground and it's facilities aren't fans who have been around for a while,or that we would jump ship if we ever got relegated. How you can come to that conclusion when you don't know anything about the people commenting I don't know. Didn't here many complaints from the 12000-15000. Who sat in the same stadium when we were in the championship, yes it's not the best ,but if it was not for the city council and Stan Clarke we would not of had a stadium, yes we have come a long way in a short time,I would love the club to spend millions on the ground but at this moment in time the money needs to be spent on two desent wingers two centre halves and a goal scorer.

The Brit looks like an absolute toilet, even if the corners aren't filled in this Summer it needs a lick of paint, it's looking more weather beaten than an allotment shed.

Lord almighty what are we turning into fans whinging about getting wet, that's what happens when it rains! What do you want the club to do about ffs man up if you don't like getting wet don't go. And as for those blaming the weather on the players performance, do you not think they've played in it before ? Did they play in stadiums at youth level ?
Fair enough if your getting wet in parts of the stadium you shouldn't be but other that this thread makes us sound like a rate bunch of prawn sandwich eating wussies!!

I thought it was crap the first time I saw I and I still think it's crap. Access is a joke and unless you want to buy a car there is bugger all around it. It's by far the worst of "the new grounds" There is simply no excuse for not upgrading it.
Bloody horrible place.

It's the same stadium for both teams and Everton played some good football Everton played some great football twice and scored the first two goals! Stoke played terrible football once and it became 3-0. Apart from those moments Stoke played as well as Everton but it was always quite clear that their pace was going to cause Stoke's weakened defence all sorts of problems. 0-3 on your own turf isn't a nice experience but I believe that Imbula showed he will be a major asset at Stoke. I believe Stoke will look a much better team when we are back from the injuries that we have.

Did the weather really affect our ability to get a shot at goal? or was it our faffing around with the ball that was the issue? Stoke's creative players were very poor ie Shaqiri and Arnautovic. You use the word "faf" in your comment. Can you explain what you see as an alternative when these two players are not playing well. Do you mean boot the ball forward? I thought when the other team are,on the day, better than you it is best to at least retain possession in the hope that we might eventually make a chance.

My seat is on row 26 block 30, there were at least 4 or 5 places where the rain was dripping down from the roof that i could see, and yes i do expecr the club to do something about it

When we played Pulisball where the main tactic was to kill the game and play for scraps the weather did help on occasions. Now we have better technical players and a stadium which goes someway to negating their skills, fucking marvellous!!!! We have wonderful training facilities which no doubt are a plus when we are recruiting but being expected to perform to their full capabilities under the extreme weather conditions forced on them by that shit hole for a good portion of their home games certainly won't make them want to stay. I wonder what Imbula thought of it?

I am wondering and I have no incite on this if the owners are hanging fire expanding the ground and trying to wait to our stock is at its highest before selling up?. When would be the latest they could make an announcement on filling corner for nxt season?

Our stadium is more of an advantage than the opposite, but it would certainly be a better place to watch football if the corners had been filled in! Can't agree, It used to be an advantage. When we played Pulis ball with a hard nosed bunch of six footers. Who is more effective in the conditions we have to endure - Muniesa or Huth ? For the type of player and game plan we now have its a fucking liability. Sparky must be quietly doing his nut about it. At the end of the season we MUST do something, or revert to type. I vote we fix it and prove we've moved on.

It's not about fans getting wet surely, although ground improvements would help this problem a little. It's about the bloody wind that howls through and can sometimes turn a game into a something resembling blow football. It's always been like that and it's always been crap. So what if it's the same for both sides, it's still a terrible spectacle at times. It's no good for us to watch and can't be fun to play in, no matter what you're earning. It's disgraceful that we haven't sorted it out.

If we're going to fill in a corner (I still don't think the support is good enough for it) then it's got to be one corner. Make it 30,000 and then see how that goes. Anything more is too much.

I remember watching a particularly boring 0-0 draw at The Brit against Preston on a Boxing Day about 10 years ago and I can state without any reservation that I have never been so fucking cold at a football match. Agree that's got nothing to do with the open corners but felt it needed sharing.
