Must have been great for Imbrula seeing the star man with his head down half the match and moping about.

I don't quite get where the lack of effort bullshit comes from. I go to all the home games and watch most away games on Kodi and I just don't see a player lacking in effort. He's a flair player and that part of his game either comes off or it doesn't. When it doesn't Arnie's body language is very obvious he shows his emotions, frustration, disappointment its not taken well by some fans my old man is one who really doesn't like it. Then I see the player get back on his bike keep trying things, keep tracking back and doing his work never hiding. It's a funny thing perception. For me he's our most threatening forward player yet he gets incredible amounts of shit, maybe if our other forward players stepped up to the mark a bit more often Arnie's inconsistencies and body language would be less of a talking point but carry on slaughtering him, carry on ignoring the fact he's more effective than our record signing before last week, carry on ignoring the fact that we don't seem to have a central striker ready to step up and justify his selection its all Arnie's fault.

To be quite honest, I really won't lose any sleep at all if somebody activates his alleged release clause and he departs in the summer. I am sick to death of spending my hard earned money and having to watch his petulant behaviour and arrogant attitude.
He isn't a team player, he plays for himself. Just watch his reaction when one of his teammates loses possession, he's not interested in grafting for the team to try and win the ball back, the only time he'll do that is when somebody dispossesses him. He's done some great things going forward this season, but that counts for nothing as far as I'm concerned if he thinks he's too important to have to track his full back. In both of our 0-3 defeats this week his tracking back has been nothing short of disgraceful. On Tuesday he gave Matteo Darmian a free reign all game and yesterday he allowed Seamus Coleman the same freedom, I lost count of the number of times Diouf dropped out wide to cover for him when we lost possession.
It's just not acceptable and we can't afford to carry these luxury players if they aren't prepared to dig in when we lose the ball as well, there's two phases of play to a football match and the defensive phase is every bit as important as the attacking phase.

Not having a striker consistently scoring goals isn't helping him. He has to play 2 roles, he's got to create the goals and score them. We've only won 4 games in which he hasn't scored in

Why does he never seem to spend any time on the left wing anymore? It's almost as if he's hiding.

Why does he never seem to spend any time on the left wing anymore? It's almost as if he's hiding. Because he knows he would be required to track the opposing full back and he thinks he's far too important for that. The job he has done on Darmian and Coleman this week has been disgusting to watch.

Why does he never seem to spend any time on the left wing anymore? It's almost as if he's hiding. Rubbish, the fact the other wide forward is doing exactly the same thing is indicative that that is the game plan. Is it working is it fook, I think we'd be much more effective if the wide boys provided more width and the CAM supported the lone central striker more. Shaq put a lovely ball in from the right wing early doors that MBD failed to get on target then spent the rest of his game wandering all over the place to very little effect before he was withdrawn. Get Ryan back in and a stronger CDM unit will hopefully allow that, fingers crossed. I thought we looked more like creating something once Ireland came on, maybe he deserves a go at CAM.

If the plan is that the wingers should spend no time out wide then Sparky wants horsewhipping.

Hear we go again pugesley i have said something you dont like so you and a friend of yours i presume has to start finding fault . If you dont like peoples opinions its too bad. The only reason you dont like it is because its a womans opinion. Well tough deal with it. Ask your friend what washing dishes has to do with anything he is a knobhead. As i have said before i really dont care what you think because all you do is slag peoples opinions off. I will say what i like whether you or friend like it or not. You will have to learn to except other peoples opinions keven if they are different to your own

Mourhinio was right, the blokes a fucking petulant child. I'm sick to the back fucking teeth of him swinging his bollocks round thinking he's Ibrahimovic. Grow up, stop pulling your jib and play the game your paid a fucking fortune to do. Yep, nothing like digging out a quote from years ago to try and put down one of our OWN FUCKING PLAYERS.
Shameful. And the quote was when Arnie was only 17. Lots of us behave like kids when we're 17. To think, he's was lots of people's leading candidate for player of the season up until a few weeks ago. Strange that you can remember that quote from 2009 but you can't remember his excellent performances from only a few weeks ago. Well what do you think it says about a bloke thats still going through the same mood swings from 7 years ago? I paraphrased the quote because its relevant. When he's all singing and dancing, concentrating on games, doing the dirty defensive work as well as his own, I will, and have praised the bloke. As it is, his routine of turning his back against goal, cutting sideways, losingthe ball and moaning about it is frankly getting on my tits.

What and your one that thinks the sun shines out of his Arse, whatever he does wrong to a neutral football fan is completely amazing In your eyes, get in the fucking real world mate and recognise that not every player is perfect. No I must be one of very few realists that support Stoke city it seems. He's in poor form at the minute, maybe too many games, maybe injured (or both) the rest is pre meditated (mostly made up) hyperbole by some 'fans' There's bad form then bad body language and attitude.

He has few decent games then thinks he's in Messi's class. Never liked his attitude since he's been at here. He has absolutely no affinity with the club and is only here because of the money. Hughes is nowhere near tough enough with him.

If he isn't getting all his own way on the pitch then he doesn't want to know......he will hold his back and come off....if he is carrying an injury we don't know about, then Hughes is doing him no favoured by picking him....because clearly on present form he does not deserve his place....and he is not the only one.....

If he isn't getting all his own way on the pitch then he doesn't want to know..... He's arguably put his best performances in when he's been wronged. West Ham away sticks out, after he had a goal disallowed he was like a man on a mission.

Ok then put up with him till summer when we will still have no cover and no one given a chance.
Spare the rod spoil the child comes to mind.
I think that's the point he's making. We've got no choice but to put up with him. Even a half fit Arnautovic is better than a completely busted flush Odemwingie. If you've got an alternative for that left wing slot then please feel free to share? If Arni gets injured who are you putting there then, as I've said put Affelay there for a game see what he can do.

After all you've held this opinion from day one ? Or is it best to sit there quietly and patiently until he picks up a succession of niggling injuries and loses form then give him both barrels?

How I see it is that if he had the consistency of constantly playing at his potential then he'd have never have come to Stoke in the first place, probably would have stuck at Inter or gone to another Champions League team.
He is phenomenal on his day but most top clubs can probably see that "his day" is only 50%-70% of the season and that is probably why nobody really put forward too much interest in January and why I think not many managers or boards will be trying to activate his clause in the summer.
Does he deserve to be our top earner? Yes, I think so, as over the course of a season he will produce some magic moments and add quite a few points to our tally but I also think that Stoke, or another team pushing for a Europa place is his level.

Arnautovic gets slated 'cos we've got a fair portion of bellends on this forum who can't handle defeat & lash out at anyone they can, it's as simple as that. This whole "Anyone who thought our previous manager did alright hates all Hughes' signings" doesn't really wash when people like Walters, Whelan & Butland get slated all over the forum on a weekly basis.

It is difficult to assess a single player when the entire team (Jack excepted ) are not performing. If the team were all firing and Arnie was poor then all the criticism can be justified. Stating the obvious, football is a team game and all or at least most of the parts need to function, which isn't happening at present
