They dId the same with none apple adaptors. I bought TV and Camera adaptors from a German company few years ago. They were cheaper than the Apple adaptors but not the Chinese £3 a time junk. Worked fine until I think it was iOS 6 update then just got an Incompatibilty error when trying to use them. Contacted apple and they just said non Apple peripherals were neither authorised nor recommended for use with their products. Of course this has been overcome by introduction of smart TVs and wifi transfer on cameras. But how long before Apple latch onto this and prevent non Apple applications being used forcing us to purchase their Apple TV box at fifty quid a shot. Weren't Microsoft outlawed a few years ago from doing this kind of robbery? Perhaps somebody should bring an action against Apple for the same reason

Anybody suffer from this I'm getting really annoyed with this Colin! The other day (at Anfield actually) mine was on 40%, tried to send a snapchat, it cut off because the battery went! The top button has stopped working so couldn't turn it back on and was without my phone until I got home and plugged my charger in, only for it to come back on with 40% battery still! Back to Samsung for me I think!

It's like getting a very expensive car, and then putting tires on from Kwik Fit after a few months, and then finding that your car won't run, you can't even open the doors, and you have to scrap it.
This really must be illegal.

I have an iPhone 5s and it has never shutdown like that it runs the battery right down to zero, admittedly it does use up the battery quickly.

They've always been shithouses. A few years ago, they were forced to unbrick thousands of devices that had been intentionally bricked, simply because they were jailbroken.
The whole think different lark couldn't be any further from the truth.

I have zero sympathy for iPhone users, they are gullible enough to pay too much for their phones, and they will now just have to pay too much for their repairs, too.

Error 53 can be circumvented if you disable the TouchiD feature. Disabling it means Apple cannot detect any 3rd party changes to the home button at all, and will work as normal

Error 53 can be circumvented if you disable the TouchiD feature. Disabling it means Apple cannot detect any 3rd party changes to the home button at all, and will work as normal Do you know why my battery goes with 20% Try this from the apple forum When the phone shuts off and it isn't down around 1%, connect to a charger for just a minute or 2, or wait 15 minutes, then reboot the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears). Continue running the battery down until it shuts off around 1%. If it goes off above that value repeat the above process until you really do get to 1% (this will rarely take more than 2 tries). Once it has turned off and won't restart or reboot charge it with the wall charger for 4 hours without using the phone. This should fix the problem for the moment. Going forward, about once a month run the battery all the way down and charge for 4 hours. This should prevent the problem from recurring. If this does not work your battery may be failing. As it's still in warrantly take it to an Apple store for repair.

Don't buy Apple phones. The're wank. I don't like how The Apple company do business. I have one but only because I was given one and I'm going to change as soon as I have the money to. Not a tech geek but there is something about the way the company operates that I don't like. All the signing up bullshit that you have to do is just that. I don't trust them one bit for a personal piece of equipment.

If the advice to you was say on a Jag or BMW, that kept on breaking down when having a petrol tank that was just on the red, was: stop, put a splash of petrol in, run round the car three times, drive until the red light comes on, fill it up, and then repeat three times...well people would just stop buying the bloody cars. iSheep

In their battery manual, they actually tell you to do it. Which is rediculous really. Never had a problem like this with any of my Android phones. I just dont like using iPhones. My LG G3 however eats battery like nothing else ive used.

I have the new IPhone-whatevenumberwe'reatthesedays which is my work phone, and the kids have an Ipad that I won at a charity do but I would never give them a penny of my own money in buying one of their products.
As stated on other posts something I find extremely distasteful about their whole business model, but whilst fuckwits keep queueing up a week before their latest overpriced gadget comes out they'll keep making obscene amounts of cash......

Have to agree. We have 6 phones in the house. 3 Windows, 2 Android and an iPhone. The 5 new phones cost less than the second hand iphone. The iPhone is decent, but not much better than the other phones.

It's a bit battered and the WiFi/Bluetooth don't work properly but for £20 a month with unlimited data it's a great bit of kit. I have an iPhone 5c for work. It's a woeful phone. Cuts out when making calls and has fuck all memory for emails and work photos.

iphone 6S 16G ....£619 (yes really) iphone 6S 64G ....£699 (are they taking this piss?)
I added 64G to my Android phone for £9.99 a few weeks ago.
Apple £1.67 per Gig, Android 15p per Gig.
Apple are Royally screwing their customers.

It was once true that Android lagged behind iOS, but that's not been the case for some time. iOS is designed to keep you with Apple, a bit like the EU, it tells you why it's great, and keeps quiet about where it's not so good, and makes you pay extra for the privilege.

But why, since you've already paid for the software should you have to pay silly money to add extra storage? The 16G iPhone has the software included in the price. So why when adding extra storage can they get away with a storage cost from 10 years ago? In the rest of the world, if someone tried to charge you that amount for storage they'd be laughed at. Maybe Apple owners just like going into the Apple store pulling down their trousers and bending over and shouting "come on Apple take me up the backside" - because really, that's what you're doing.

Error 53 can be circumvented if you disable the TouchiD feature. Disabling it means Apple cannot detect any 3rd party changes to the home button at all, and will work as normal But that's like saying "Honda will only let you drive on these Honda-approved roads, but if you turn off all the expensive interior features you paid for, then you can do it". It's typical Apple in my opinion. As I said, they've been shithouses for years and it's hard to sympathize with iPhone users because this isn't the first time they've been fucked over.... yet most don't seem to learn. 9/10, those why buy iPhone's are simply too ignorant to consider the benefits of switching to Android. I'm not saying Android's are the bee all and end all (many have problems of their own), but this idea that iPhone's are intrinsically better seems to come from the fact they're expensive and they're Apple products. "iPhone is better because Apple?" kind of logic. You pay for the software with apple. Bit of a joke but people (admittedly me included) are willing to pay it, swear by my macbook and my iphone. That's a very weak argument. It was once true that Android lagged behind iOS, but that's not been the case for some time. iOS is designed to keep you with Apple, a bit like the EU, it tells you why it's great, and keeps quiet about where it's not so good, and makes you pay extra for the privilege. It's the weakest argument I've ever heard and tbh, you're wrong.... Android has never really lagged behind iOS. When iOS was released, Android came out a few months before and they were both give or take the same. Actually, Android offered more functionally, but iOS was prettier, it had a hardware accelerated UI etc. Neither of them were a patch on Symbian ( ) if you can believe that, which was light years ahead at the time. Technology moves fast, but while Apple have stagnated and failed to innovate, Android has run miles ahead and it's not just the software.... It's the hardware, both upper and lower end and it's the reach of Android which makes it appealing for everyone. Everything from a £60 phone to a £600 can provide an excellent Android experience and yes, the £600 will blow the cheaper alternative away, but being able to experience and use the Android ecosystem is worth it in itself. A £100 Android will offer significantly more features than an expensive iPhone, the Android Play Store and the compromises are acceptable to the majority of people. The fact it costs you £600 to experience the Apple ecosystem is enough to put me off. Further to that, Apple have a long and glorious history of planned obsolescence. That expensive iPhone will be an expensive paperweight in a year or so, when they stop updating it. Most Android's on the other hand have a userbase with keen developers willing to produce major updates of their own. That's why a 2 year old Samsung S4 will outlast ANY 2 year old iPhone, because it's a hugely popular phone with people developing new and exciting updates everyday.

scam artists and bullies of the technological market and have been for years. produce phones that do nothing any other can't do, hold you to ransom to HAVE to pay them for anything you want to do , refuse to ever acknowledge they have made a mistake and now blocking people's phones who can't/won't pay their extortionate prices for repairs. used to have an ipad and although it was ok, having to pay for every bloody bit of software was ridiculous and the file sizes for images or music was absolutely ludicrous beyond belief! ended up selling it and getting an android tablet that does everything the ipad did (and more), has reasonable file sizes and i don't get ludicrous extortionate overcharging for the most basic of software that runs on everything else released since about 2005 as most other tablets include it as standard! disgustiing shithouse of a company but anyone who buys into them can't complain..they're quick enough to bang on ad infinitum to any android user about how much better their iphone is (even though it's no better at all) then moan like fuck when something like this happens. if people haven't cottoned onto their bully boy tactics by now and seen them for the dodgy fuckers they are then they never will! i wouldn't go near them. the only reason they do so well is because of fools who see the brand name so presume it must just be totally awesome..it's the modern day equivalent of having to have the latest Le shark t-shirts (showing my age there ) because...well, just because it's a cool name man! if people had a bit of sense and actually compared the Apple products with their alternatives BEFORE just handing over x hundred pounds to Apple, we wouldn't have this problem, it's just people who simply HAVE to have the latest Apple product. Baaa baaa baaaa where's the rest of the flock gone?
