Been supporting Stoke for almost 60 years. Already old and bald so have long since reconciled myself to the inconsistency of our team. I loved the selection before the kick off (except for the absence of Ryan) so can't really complain. Why didn't such a team perform? No idea, on paper they should have easily been a match if not superior. Consistency is the most difficult problem to crack, if we ever do we have players with the ability to go places. I do think that Hughes is the likeliest person to achieve it. We have no self belief at present and the recent poor run will enforce it. We all know that a goalscorer is needed before things will change and I am certain that the management know that too.

Never stood a chance with 2 or 3 around him every time he got the ball. We've been shocking but I don't think Shaq needs to be singled out. Too right, and it's been the case since he's been at Stoke so why aren't we making the most of the space that's being created when the 2 or 3 players from the opposing sides go for close him down. . It's an excellent question, and we need to figure out the answer. Quickly.

I think how problem is obvious, we have potentially great players that cannot find the back of the net. Our defending can be forgiven in my opinion at the moment, big Phil is a better player with Ryan out there with him Not one for criticizing the team, but it's frustrating to watch when you know the potential is there to take teams to the cleaners

Can't defend(without Ryan) haven't ever been able to score it seems and all the possession in the world doesn't equal victory as we have proved recently. Whats going on?

What chances are we creating that a goalscorer would stick away? Our problems are down to the fact that when we arrive at the touchline or the edge of the box, a piano starts tinkling away and our skilled and dynamic attackers turn into a bunch of black-and-white silent movie slapstick twats

Very difficult to argue that we don't need a goalscorer as the facts speak for themselves

It was a very worrying performance today no doubt. Pissing our knickers, booing and leaving at half time will solve nothing. The manager is in place, he's going nowhere and he is as good as we will get. The owner is going nowhere. The players we have wear red and white and are Stoke players. Support them - that is your job. We aren't "customers" who can choose to shop elsewhere, we are supporters and we have an active role to play. Have some respect for the lads and lasses who followed the club for years when we were shit and who aren't here now.

The problems lie elsewhere.

Some players have the knack of scoring goals out of poor opportunities, we can't even get shots on target.

Bad enough losing. Got soaked by some muppet on the Campbell Road. Put this on another post but it seems to have disappeared. Hope he rots in something evil! Half a dozen of us soaked right through!

I don't think we played that badly today. We are lacking confidence which I can understand after 3 x consec losses 3-0. Our defence which has been strong is leaking goals and you have to say down the middle. We bossed the game but didn't capitalise. I don't think it's smart chopping and changing strikers every game as they start to feel pressure when playing and don't relax for fear of being dropped. The midfield have a bad game and in most cases keep their spot whereas The strikers get dropped after one game. Hard work is what's needed and we can get the season back on track next week and finish higher than 9th.

After the walk out and not sticking with it there is no way that they will fill the corners in.They will be thinking if they are that fickle why bother.Would be interesting to see where the booing was coming from as no one was booing where i was sitting.
